    Mortgage update!

:j I've reached target one month early.. The actual balance owing is now £110,824.26, so even with the interest to be applied this month, I'll still be below £111,500. I did have a quick look to see if I could get sub £110k, but it won't happen not with it being Christmas But I'm cool with that..

The additional OP's really seem to make a difference when paid throughout the month - £285.06 monthly interest (reduction of nearly £100 from usual) and the daily interest was £9.19 down from £12.21 - I find it strange OP's of £110 throughout the month have such an impact. Still feel like I'm missing something..

TCB paid into the account and put towards an OP and some towards CC1.

Mr S food order arrived and with the £18 off, my weekly shopping was £41.. really tempted to do the same thing next week and set up another account..;)

Last working day of the week for me.. but need to work tonight on a few things..

  • Laughing with DH this morning that I'm the breadwinner this month as mileage and a little bit of backpay meant I earnt more than him by £9 something..

Washing on in full force as the maching goes tomorrow, sold it locally for £20 - it owes us nothing to be honest after 10 years. New one hopefully arriving Tuesday (hope so if the old one has gone!) All the bedding is in there and school uniform drying. Watching our tumble like a hawk at the moment as it's one of those affected by the Hotpoint risk of fire thingy.

New carpet down and it's lovely in there - feel like I'm walking on bouncy air.. underlay has a bit impact.. when we took the old stuff up, the underlay was like paper!

Sat and wrapped the littlies Christmas presents last night and one half of the gifts from FC.. just the other half of his presents and their birthday presents and they are done. Few gifts to wrap up for others and need to get DH birthday ones wrapped.

:xmastree: is going up today! I know it's November, but I'm excited!

    25p points on IPS0S
    25p on 1-poll

Just about to tackle some p-base surveys as there are 5 sitting there.

Month in hand fund up to £40. and a part payment made to CC1. £20 in the mortgage OP pot. I've not budgeted for the child benefit this month, so will divy that up between the CC, month in hand and the mortgage OP.

Was planning to go to a fireworks and Christmas lights switching on thing tonight, but the forecast is looking truly appalling.. so I'm not sure that will happen.

Christmas cards to make with the littlies on the agenda today, as well as getting them to start writing their Christmas cards to their friends.

    Have a great day all!

  • Sounds like a lovely day - I like wrapping presents!
  • Well done on being the breadwinner.

I don't mind wrapping presents but have decided to make a book advent calendar for the girls this year. Each day they can open a book (one of their own off their book shelf) just cannot be bothered to wrap them, will have to do it this weekend as its Dec on Tue

  • I've seen that idea Sarahevie and it's a nice one!

Just scooped 500 points on Ips0s so I'm up to payout on that, with a good few hundred points to spare, so £10 am@zon voucher requested.

Screened out of every one of the p-base surveys.

Christmas cards written and other christmas cards made, just waiting for paint to dry.

DH has gone to take the old carpet to the tip and is picking up some nice batches for lunch. Christmas tree and decs after lunch it is!
