Itd be interesting to do a kids present tally with our MFW friends. We're always realistic and dont go crazy given half of what you buy ends up in drawers. Then Mrs SJ has here annual (thought not this year) Baileys afternoon with a couple of friends a few days before the big day. She comes back amazed at the amount of stuff, often double what we buy, from friends that cry poverty and subsequently moan about how long it takes to pay Christmas off. I can honestly say we've never spent more than we have at Christmas that way we never dread/struggle in January. Which is a good job considering we have 4 family birthdays in Jan (and soon to be 5 with babs)!
Sorry for the waffle on your thread!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
More than happy to do a tally up with you SJ - I'm in the less is more camp, kids only ask for one thing from Santa - little girlie asked for a 99p toy bless her (however her pressie from Santa was from ebay for £20 - they are costing £80 new and I just can't justify spending that. Mine are stashed all over the place, but they will be down soon as I need to wrap for their birthdays and Christmas and Santa.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Few surveys tonight, 15p on 1poll, 70p on M-mover and 10 points on Ips0s. 70p cashback has tracked so will request an Am@zon voucher for that.
Just found out we will have a BIG family occasion to attend at some point in the future and being a 'blended' family if that's the word for it, I will around DH's ex for the first time, so totally determined to look amazing.. needless to say the healthy eating regime is in full swing now.. That's all I have to think about and it's enough motivation! So I am shelling out and rejoining WW online as I lost nearly 3stone with this last year and I know it works. I figure £12 out of my money each month is worth it.
Mortgage OP has credited, but the amount is not showing interest at all this month, so all I know is that it will be under £111,999 and therefore I should hit my 2015 target in terms of amount remaining a month early!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Eeeekkkk to being around DH's ex next year . Luckily me and DH have been together since I was 16 and he was 18 so no ex's to ever bump into!
Re the Christmas presents, I have in the past fallen into the trap of buying them extras. Totally learnt my lesson from that when they ended up in the wardrobe never to be seen again. xxMummytogirls x0 -
Little girl had me up at 3.30am - she is now back in the land of nod and i'm wide awake - all the more fun when I'm working till 9pm tonight!
So whenever I finally get this back pay, it needs to pay for the lounge carpet £400 and a new washing machine... DH has a work site where discounts are offered to employees and we have found a Hotpoint one on there for £212 with massive discount - our highest spin setting is broken and I'm convinced this is meaning the clothes are coming out wetter and then taking much longer in the tumble to dry. plus it's 10 years old so owes us nothing especially with five years of washing for twins, including 2 years of reusuable nappies! Just need DH to sort out the login details today and hopefully purchase that this week.
Carpet being fitted next week, I was the sad person asking for it to pleased be fitted by the end of November so that I could put the tree up.. Think they took pity on me!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

And yay for getting the carpet up on your schedule.

Evening DF0D,
Hope you're not too tired tonight. £212 on a hotpoint washer is such a bargain. We bought a new washer last year and I love it so much! I think you will definitely notice a difference after having the old one for 10 years.
Yay to the carpet too xxMummytogirls x0 -
Rather excited about the new washer!
Worked late tonight and come home to a few surveys.. ££2.85 on P-base - once that clears, I have reached payout! 5 points on Ips0s and £3 cleared on P-cone that I didn't realise I had, another P-cone survey done tonight, so hopefully another £3 on the way.. Also noticed that P-cone have started doing Am@zon vouchers, so I will take those points in Am@zon points now to boost the present fund for 2016.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
