Premium bonds are a good use of a bit of unexpected money, and can fairly quickly be re-allocated to other stuff if needs be. I like that

How is it June?
Money in money out day!£5 redeemed through Nectar today as well as £8 topped up on Amazon from ipsos and a pinecone survey. I may have bought an item of clothing from Sainsburys for £20 to claim 750 nectar points. I’ll return it next week because randomly nectar don’t take them back!£25 in from 1poll.
