Ending up donating the bedding to DH for dust sheets. On inspection it wasn’t in that great condition. Sold some boots and a few surveys came through so money earned up to a more respectable £64.84.Cant believe it’s nearly the end of August! And the weather is looking decent for the bank holiday weekend for once.Way too money has gone out this month. I’ll do a monthly update over the weekend!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Just sorted out our mobile phone contracts which end next month. It’s probably our one frivolous expenditure each month but handsets are nearly paid off so bill will reduce by £150 a month now and they wiped the last handset payment so that’s £140 saved. Current handsets are fine and we will stick with them.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Hit my second goal of 2021 saving £3000. Just the money earned to go now. Pretty happy with mortgage progress. Have money stashed aside towards the next £1000 OP. Current balance about £300. Would love to get another £1k OP in this year but unlikely.

Well done, I agree with @South_coast
that final £1000 will happen by hook or by crook.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
