It's a shame that some people aren't being supportive but I suppose anything apart from the usual can be seen by some as suspicious! We got similar for adopting from some people and I have no regrets at all about that.

We're having loads of incidents this year of girls picking on DD or leaving her out, but I know she gives as good as she gets so it's just a case of guiding her through it. They must be at that age, although I don't remember it happening that young!

  • Thanks MTG, I'm hoping they will just do the same, to be honest they will breathe a sigh of relief at DS going i'm sure given the 'nightmare' he is to them! their interpretation, not mine. Think they will be bothered about DD though, she said she nearly cried today because they tested her on some phonics and she couldn't do them all.

DH has requested to adjust his days, so just need to wait for that process to be done by his employer.

  • Applied for the CC on MSE email this week to get the free £35 and got accepted.. will use it to pay for DH's tyres and food for the month, get the £35 and then close it.

School rang yesterday to see why we've cancelled the private assessment and to say they are getting DS a TA. I told them to hold fire as we were considering options. Head understandably wanted to know more, but I really don't trust them enough to tell them and then I'm worried if we do, they will not try with DS and the last few weeks will be dreadful.

Moved the kitchen round yesterday and need to buy a unit from i-kea ideally but don't want to pay the £35 delivery charge to store pads, pens, books in, so it's all to hand as our supplies are likely to increase.. must spend time this weekend looking for alternatives to the ikea one!

Off out for the day, only spends will be petrol but looking forward to it and then both littlies have friends round tomorrow so a day at home. Off to see a piano locally someone is giving away.. we would just need to move it... which is easier said than done.

£3.18 moved to payable on TCB so will request am@zon voucher for that!

  • Also realised we'll be eligible for the tax marriage allowance after I leave work so put that in my diary to apply for.

Have a little purchase list growing of things I want to get and subscribe to, but it's under £100, so I think that is pretty reasonable considering!

  • Morning all, decent night sleeps so feeling good. Reading books done with the littlies, one watching TV and one doing sums (their choice!!)

Few fleabay items that will sell today, will get the rest relisted and try and get a few more items on there or on bookface selling sites. Thinking most people are skint still after Christmas.

Got a fair few things to go out after payday, but at least it is here on Wednesday for DH. £300 on his car, need to buy a DVD player as ours broke and I want to buy a slow cooker.. any recommendations?

My recommendation for a slow cooker would be one that has an auto function and not just low or high, that way for most things you can just whack on auto and leave it alone. Also I wish the pot of ours could go on the stove so you can seal meat before you out it on, all in one pot. Not a deal breaker but if I was buying again I would have it. Ours is not made anymore so can't recommend the actual model but it's morphy Richards.

    Hi DFOD,

I have a crockpot SC and its great I love it after a massive falling out with a morphy richards one. I reckon the previous one was faulty from the start but I only realised this after I bought the crockpot one.

Hope all ok with you guys xx

  • Up to £34.25 on Y0ugov, £38.75 on 1poll and £9.35 on pr0filic. Also up to 178 points on ipsos. Phone cash came through, so paid DH CC back to zero as that only has a small recurring payment on it each month, and put pots back in credit.. Two items sold on fleabay last night and ready to post tomorrow.

    Thanks for slow cooker recommendations.

    One day to payday!
