OMG DFOD  I think you're doing the right thing, you've exhausted the other possibilities and its just not working. Poor DD, hate school say you know weve had trouble this week too xx

  • Thank you for support, reactions we are getting from some folks are tough to take at the moment... DH is unwavering in his support for me which is awesome.

Agreed we are just going to take it easy for the first few weeks and find our way slowly.

Surveys are busy tonight, £2.95 on pr0filic, a Mr T home panels one, few points for screening out of surveys on Ips0s and a m1ndm0ver one done, 75p on there, was going to stop these, but figure they don't take long even if it takes ages to payout and every little penny is going to be needed.

Up to £38.20 on 1poll and nearly £120 in cashback confirmed or tracking.. some of that could do with moving to payable please. Will all go on @mazon i think..though we still need to replace their tablets even more so now with home ed looming.

  • Best of luck on this new adventure! Sounds like it'll be a big adjustment but for the best.
  • Was brave and called the dreaded tax credits today. had done the calculator so knew roughly what it was, but call today came out at the same.. claim was still open from when we last claimed and because they updated DS's details for the DLA, we might get something for this year.. need to wait for the letter.

Anyway, just need to call on the day I reduce my hours and the claim will just process through. Hopefully it'll all be straightforward.

Cancelled his private assessment today as we will still get the NHS one and now there is no rush, so no point paying the money. Have to brave telling School though and they will be annoyed I think we are going through, but won't know why.

Annoyingly the phone arrived broken for the recycle so they halved the payment - nothing we can do if it is broken so just have to take what's offered there!

  • Evening DFOD,

Im glad the dreaded TC call wasn't as bad as expected.

Have you decided when you will tell the school? I wouldn't worry about the school, you've made your mind up now and they're going to have to accept it.

How convenient that the phone reached the place broken! At least you got something though xx

  • I'm thinking not until the last minute MTG, I've read horror stories at how Schools have reacted and I hope theirs wouldn't, but I don't need a horrible end to this term.. so I think I will send it in for the first day back as that will be the effective date for de registering them.

What do yours do in situations like that?

I dont reckon anyone at our school would be horrible DFOD but obviously I don't know the full ins and outs. Ive only ever dealt with one elective home education since I've been there and we basically sent the letter to the LA and then they authorised we could take the child off school roll.

    xx
