Think we have someone collecting the metal for free next week, so plan today is to clear the rubbish from the garden, mainly rubble and rotten wood.

I emailed the CEO of the power company last night, don't expect anything from it, but a few people had said it was worth doing.

Sun is due to shine, so looking forward to a day in the garden with the little people getting it to look a lot cleaner!

It sounds like your day was set to be similar to mine only I was shovelling gravel instead of rubble. :)

We made our raised beds from old scaffolding planks. We don't expect them to last too long but they were very cheap! I used a mix of a third compost, a third perlite and a third coir. Much cheaper than 100% compost and much better drainage. The veg love it so far!

Thanks for the tip of what to put in the raised beds! I'm probably a month or two off filling them yet, but will remember that.

Garden looks so much better.. metal all out the front waiting for collection next week.

Ended up visiting a neighbour yesterday so the little people just ran and ran on their land and then go a go on their quad bike, so they went to bed happy!

Today is all about rock pooling! The sun is out and it looks a lovely day!

Got the deadlock letter yesterday, so I raised the complaint to the Ombudsman.. have asked for the whole bill to be wiped- figure I might as well ask for everything and I might get something somewhere in the middle!

Well the CEO responded and said they thought what I'd bee offered is fair, so I await to see what the Ombudsman has to say. Not expecting any increase to be honest on what they have offered me, but it will be interesting nonetheless.

Still haven't ordered the wood for the garden, think we are going to try somewhere online for ease of delivery and maybe get some cashback.

Have invoiced for my very part time role, so await the £41 or so for that.. not expecting any more to come my way from that at the mo.

Apart from that all quiet in DFOD land!

Some of my TCB finally tracked, so put a withdrawal of £66 in.. surveys coming along OK.. Nearly at £10 with OP, y0ug0v is busy at the moment and doing a lovely laundry survey at the mo elsewhere!

Sent £150 to the loan so I'm down to about £500. With the regular payment, I've got 340 left to find.. the £66 will go towards that, leaving me £280 ish - that's my pay rise wiped out!

Done my tax credits renewal online, we only get £20 ish a month now and fully expecting them to say we have been overpaid.. be glad when they have gone!

Oooooh.. just worked out the percentage paid off and I've finally hit 99% :j:j:j

99.13% paid off to be precise!

Typical though, I've got demands for money coming in from all over the place.. My car insurance, still got the power bill outstanding - no news from Ombudsman yet and yesterday a bill arrived from 17 months ago from when we moved house..I've queried it, but I'm beginning to think we didn't pay it.. if so, will try and negotiate paying it off bit by bit - only £100.. but I need to pay the power bill off and the car insurance as well as clearing this loan which is absolutely happening this month!

Never ends does it! Excited we are nearly half way through the month.. 14 days to debt pay off day!

I've just paid another £45 off the loan and the balance is now £464.. :j

I've just requested the final settlement figure from the bank and it is now 7 days to loan payoff date! :j:j:j:j:j

    Rather happy!!!!

Just the small matter of the CC to deal with after that, but I won't think about that till next Saturday!

Feels like money is flying out today..

Paid preschool bills and bought book bags for the little people. (think the School have forgotten about a week, so I'll leave that and see what happens)
Paid bill for the latest lot of wood for the garden
Paid a bit off the loan
Paid a bit of the credit cards

Still have the water tank bill to pay next week and my car insurance renewal just arrived as well.

Managed to sell two things this week for £35.. and hurfed out two bags of rubbish from the kitchen this week. .Seriously chucked / charity shopped anything that I haven't used, including a load of books that just sit on the shelf..

Swimming tomorrow and then I need to go buy a Fathers Day gift for DH tomorrow, but I know what I'm getting him and it's about £17..

Off to a country show on Sunday which will cost £10 or so to get in, but it should be a nice day out and we are meeting up with some friends there..

Looking a bit dreary here today but still hoping to get outside.

I'm starting a new weight loss attack today. I'm doing a meal replacement program, not everyone's cup of tea.. but I just need something where I don't have to think about what to eat and need results as weight has way too much impact on my life! Plus from a MSE point of view, it'll save money on the food bill!!

Expecting to feel very hungry for the next few days so need to keep busy!

Make sure you drink plenty of water as that is how a lot of those plans work and often dehydration can show itself as hunger! My body needs 3-4 litres of water a day but I get a lot of that through food.
