Well done on the garden work. We took some rubble to the tip (I thought my arms were going to fall off), weeded all of the patio, and did the lawn, so it's looking pretty nice now.
We also harvested the first of the peas for a risotto, which was very exciting!Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

My lovely MIL sent us some pennies for the littlies uniform today.. as we already have most of it, I will stash this away between the various pots!
Not much MSE-ing going on today..
Tried to ring the power company to close the complaint as I've lot the will with it and surprise, no one there to take my call! have told them to ring me tomorrow so I can sort it or else I will be grumpy..
Long day at work tomorrow and then need to go to Mr T for a few things before home!
DH did get a £10 gift card for word, so I've converted that into ama-z0n voucher, so building up a little pot on there to buy Christmas presents with.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Still battling with the power company trying to get the final bill with the compensation taken off. Will ensure I do regular meter readings with the new supplier as I will not get in the situation again!
Also decided to focus on the big CC first as we are still using the little one for fuel and food, but pay that straight off, so maybe I could just send a few extra pound here and there, but send the majority of the money to the big debt which we don't use!
Have reached payout on Panelb@se, just waiting for one survey to clear, so £10.35 to withdraw there.. apart from that just ticking along here waiting for final nursery bill so I know what I've got left, if anything.
Quiet day at home today doing washing and having fun with the littlies!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Great plans. We got stung with utilities once so I now submit readings on the 1st of every month. No nasty surprises that way!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Survey cleared on PBase, so just put through a withdrawal for £10.
Reflecting a lot at the moment that although we've cleared a huge amount of debt, I could still be doing things smarter and better.
I'm really going to focus on the mortgage numbers, reduction in daily interest and capital etc to understand the difference an overpayment can make.
I'm also going to start sending every little overpayment I can to the big CC. I'll be lucky to make any difference on it this month due to putting the car insurance on there.. but I can try!
Swimming lessons for the littlies today and then more work in the garden weather dependant, though it is due to be dry.
I can't even bring myself to talk about the power company, except to say they are still being uber annoying!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

The lovely weather prevented too much work in the garden yesterday, it was more fun to get the paddling pool out and have fun with the kids.. whilst progress is needed, sometimes you just need to stop once in a while and have fun.
Sunday is usually our day out, but as we near the summer hols and numerous days out, we're taking the time to do what we can about the house.. so many visitors due in the summer, not much will happen.
Hoping to get the last of the raised beds made and dug in today. All that leaves is the wall to be cladded which we will do over the Summer here and there. Plan to give DH a rest today and do some of the digging.
Once the beds are in, we just need to level out the paths, cover them with membrane and put the stones down on the paths..
Realised I can check the daily interest on the mortgage daily by logging in.. thanks for SJ! Can't believe I didn't realise this before.. I am somewhat intelligent - promise!
Me and DH have also agreed to change how we manage our money each month. We have £100 each to do with that we want, but realistically have nothing left to show for this, so plan is to save £20 each, and then pool the £160 into an online pot and dip in when we need something, such as a pair of shoes etc. However would to hear any other ways you manage this bit of your money!
Few things to get on fleabag and bookface selling sites today.. hoping to make a few pennies.
Happy Sunday all!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

OH and I have £70 a month each. Generally his gets spent on coffees and eating out and mine gets saved and used for my driving lessons.
It's hard because he works long hours so I can't really begrudge him some treats, but at the same time it seems so wasteful to be buying coffees when he has a cafetiere at home and in work.
Maybe by pooling most of the money, you both might think twice about buying things, so it seems like a good idea.Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

Thanks Amy - that's helpful!
Soooo I've worked out what our daily interest is and it's £12.81 a day.. quite surprised at that. though don't know why. At least I know for every overpayment I make, I can keep that figure in mind and know I've paying bits off.
Still waiting to hear about job regrading at work..
