Good luck with the weight loss. A few of my colleagues have been doing the 3 day Military Diet, but it looks a bit extreme to me.0 -

You would think with all the MSE-ing and debt payments going on, I would know which day DH gets paid. It's today, so when I get to work - I will ring the bank and I will clear the loan..
When I come back in here later - I will be free of a debt of £58,085.65 that has taken up 8 years to clear..
I know I still have the credit cards to clear, but £58,000 of debt will be GONE FOREVER!!

Have some celebratory smilies!!!
I'm so pleased for you. I don't know how you managed to keep up the momentum for 8 years but you have done it and should feel so proud of yourself.
The credit cards will be a lot easier as you have all that debt money extra now.

With the loan paid, it's time to move on and focus on the credit cards.
They are both interest free, so I'm going to tackle the little one first and just make minimum payments on the other!
This month I haven't a clue what money we have as I'm due back pay from work. I've paid the loan off, paid for the sewage to be emptied, bunged my car insurance on the big credit card and still have the blinking power bill looming.. am getting nowhere with the Ombudsman so am going to accept the compensation they have offered and say I will pay the outstanding amount when they send me a final bill based on the final meter reading..
Had my tax credits renewal and I will get £40 per four weeks, so that's an added bonus I didn't think we would get this year. July is the last month we will pay nursery and preschool bills so more money to fling at debt in August.
All in all this month, I'm just going to rejoice the sodding loan has gone, and I've paid everything I need to.. If it's minimum payments on the credit cards, then fine.. Come August, I'll put my best debt busting outfit on and recommence kicking these debts into history!!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
