Hope the house projects go smoothly! I dreamed last night that we found a secret street a few blocks over which had a bigger house than ours with a weird (but fixable) layout that was super cheap. The rest of the dream was figuring out how much the new house renovations would cost and then realising how many projects we have left to finish here before we can move. Woke up relieved that we have a few years to finish our projects before worrying about selling!

The only way we're moving whilst the kids are young is if we win the lottery (which being MSE we don't do) and we can just leave everything in house number 1, lock the door and forget it ever existed and start again!

Been doing a bit of decluttering and have sold £35 worth of bits and bobs. Picked up the chairs for £25 so £10 made overall and £9 being sent straight to CC3, so that is now £467.03 - getting closer to this month's target.

Got one more thing to pop on bookface selling, but that will only be for £5.

Sitting in front of a fire, I'm cold and watching a film with the littlies and DH.

Might strip a wall later in the kitchen if i can muster the energy!

No energy mustered so wall remains unstripped.

however, sold a few more things today and CC3 now stands at £457.03 - really pleased with efforts this weekend to get this under £450. I dare not set another target as DH thinks I am a woman possessed this weekend, selling anything I came across!

That said, I have blown the house account this month and we are overspent. We have lots of little jobs to do that we said we would spend this month doing. Desperately need a voile panel in the lounge as the sun is shining through and you slowly boil on one settee, so bought two of those for the lounge, bought another two for our bedroom and also bought new bedding and curtains as we've had the same bedding forever. We also still need to buy two poles for this and a length of skirting. That said it will be clear on payday and we have enough jobs to keep us going.

Hopefully I can also sell our current bedding as it's nice stuff and a complete set so will offset some of the spends.

    Morning all,

Looking a bit downcast here. Need to get moving as want to be at the hairdressers for opening to get the kids hair cut, then back home for a bit of tidying - also want to find a local farm shop and have a wander to see what we think. Also would like to get the ironing done ready for School next week so I can forget about it.

Garden needs a bit of a tidy as well.. so a bit of a nothingness day catching up and doing a few bits.

Plus if I find that energy I might strip the wall.

Have a good day all, hoping surveys are active today, especially 1poll - really want to hit payout on that by the end of the week!

    Didn't happen SJ!

Both haircuts done for £14 and then home for lunch. Then we watched a film and then went into the garden to wash their garden ornaments (as you do) - they also washed down their chairs from the winter and tidied up their 'cottage' (wooden playhouse that DH built last year).. I've got my eye on another mud kitchen on Pinterest that I'd like DH to build this year as the one we cobbled together two years ago gave us the ghost at the end of last summer.

Dh is also going to make a set of wooden stairs that will lead from their fairy door down to a plant pot where I'm going to make a fairy garden for them (that will appear overnight one day soon)

Weather is looking half decent tomorrow so we are off(minus DH who has to work) to a NT place who are still doing egg hunts and also have a grow your own / plant seeds day going on.

Right off to watch the last two episodes of thirteen which I cannot work out at all and have no idea how this will all end!

I have very little idea. The planner online says 12 years 9 months.. with the current OP's we should be clear by the end of 2024, but obviously we will up the OP's once the debt is gone at the end of 2017, so in theory yes.

But then there's a whole load of other things to come into the equation, such as saving for retirement and the kids etc.
