This morning Sturgeon has called for more equality of outcome for Scotland and yet neither she or any of the experts advocating this seem to think that reducing their own incomes to the median is the way to acheive this equality....I think....0

Am not sure 'equality of outcome' is something solely based on income. I live not far from where Nicola was born and brought up, and my boys go to her previous secondary school. I can assure you she didn't have much in the way of advantages over others in terms of education etc
Anyway, what you're advocating re reducing all higher incomes to the median is pure unadulterated communism straight from Karl Marx. I noticed General thanked this too... who'd of thought !!! :eek:It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Meanwhile, they are the Scottish Gov, elected by its citizens and are doing quite a good job thus far. The idea that people were confident enough in their ability to vote for them says something does it not? I for one have more trust in the Scottish gov than I do in Westminster. The expenses scandal, cash for honours, cash for questions, alleged pedophilia at the heart of the establishment. You tell me, what's to like eh?
I wanted a small government who would be accountable to its citizens. I'm sorry but I think Westminster is corrupt to the core. I wanted to break free. I don't think that's a bad thing. I'm in agreement for greater control for local gov, I live in hope we might start to see this after the election.
Yes I was referring to the House of Lords and while I feel a second chamber is a good idea this institution is just archaic and needs abolished or huge reform. I'm posting a link that I watched just yesterday regarding HOL if you would be interested to watch. I agree with Pete Wishart ( SNP MP) totally here.
http://youtu.be/GuTHqb-lHEc
I must say that Wishart had a lot to say on something about which he declared himself uninvolved.
He had other things to say here. He took up most of that interview complaining that English Votes etc took up too much time and it was interesting to here him give the same arguments so faithfully parroted by SNP apparatchiks here.
As for the rest of your post re myopic etc, you are, of course, entitled to your own (wrong) opinion but I note that the reply had again nothing to do with the point I raised which was that
"the SNP ..is stirring up discord between Scotland and the rest of the UK".Union, not Disunion

The SNP also have more privately-educated MSPs than Labour do...0 -

Hey I went to the disco that she went to. Lived near the town she lived in as well

I certainly am confused about how any member of the SNP lay claim to democracy when the SNP ignore the results of the Referendum in which they denied a vote to expat Scots and yet gave it to people who were not even British.
And then there is all that demeaning petty arguing about English Votes for English issues when they deny any input to what they dictate in Scotland.

Not sure if your aware or not but the referendum was about geography not nationality ? I think a lot of people were confused about that tbh
The SNP have a history of not voting on English matters if they don't concern Scotland ( unlike labour who do ... EVEL was more aimed at labour than SNP)
Unfortunately though as the majority chose to stay as part of the UK there are many issues that might appear to be English actually do impact on the people of Scotland0 -

Are there any English issues that have absolutely no impact on Scotland?0
