I think string may be confused between the SNP and how basic democracy works. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

It does appear that way but when you look at the signature all becomes clear :-)0 -

Well in about 10 to 15 years time you'll be able to see how accountable SNP were to it's citizens with it's unrealistic approach to renewables and onshore wind farm expansion plans. I won't be here.
Despite local planning and citizens opposing applications, with few exceptions they just keep coming and once there then get extended. I was stunned recently on a visit to friends in Inverclyde to drive past a school on a main road with one of these huge things parked in the school ground. Friend tells me a local firm has now applied to erect one or two to supply its plant despite it being near housing and roads, and there's more on the hills.0 -

imagine if all those wind farms were fracking wells :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: then they would have every right to moan.
Incidentally I dont trust the SG with the whole fracking stuff ... more than the rest mind you ( apart from Greens obviously) but no I dont think the SG have dealt with the whole fracking issue really yet0 -

Scotland might just be in dire need of them to pay for the cost of all the wind energy being created that they can't use or sell. Along with all the other things they've promised to a very expectant electorate.
So you never know. I don't much agree with fracking either as it happens , and certainly not if central government keeps overriding local planning each time they reject a new application. So Ill be relying on you Greens to keep them on their toes in this respect.
As a totally different point, is there a difference between the Scottish greens and the Green Party.0 -

AIUI, each geographical area of the Green Party operates as a quasi-autonomous collective. The Scottish Greens are a sister party to the Green Party in England and Wales.
