So yet another event that is positive for the SNP and Scottish independence.
My challenge remains: can you think of a single event that would be bad for the SNP?
The Labour party uniting behind Corbyn. Voting en-masse and providing real opposition ( along with the SNP )... voting against the Tories on things like Trident, Austerity measures, scrapping human rights, welfare reforms. Voting for renationalising rail/mail, rent controls etc etc. And then overtaking the Tories in the polls in the next year or two. Looking like a shoo-in by the time 2020 rolls round.
Single event ? Corbyn as PM.
That would be bad for the SNP. I've already said so in the posts above. Do you think it will happen ?It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Thanks ! But the stars are aligning nicely politically... so far. Plan B if the polls start to climb higher for independence already being touted. Quick, hold a Devo-max referendum instead !Unionists may want to consider another devolution referendum to secure decisive support for the Scotland Bill and end the ongoing manoeuvring towards independence, a leading political commentator has suggested....
....He said last year's independence referendum failed to deliver a decisive outcome, leaving the SNP room to manoeuvre for a re-match but a potential headache over timing.
Curtice did the exit polls for the GE.
13 September 2015Scottish independence is "inevitable" within the next 30 years, according to voters quizzed for a national poll. Over two thirds of people believe the country will be independent by 2045, the Panelbase poll for The Sunday Times found.
Just under a third (31%) think it is likely in five to 10 years, up from 25% in April, nearly a quarter (24%) think it will happen in 10 to 15 years, while over a tenth (12%) think it will happen in 20 to 30 years.
From Salmond's 'pipe dream' to a 'inevitable' event within 4 years ( 2011 to 2015 ). Not bad going really. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Do I think Corbyn will win the next election? No. Is it possible? Yes.
Mr Corbyn wants to promote policies that the vast majority of British people don't support.
Most Britons want Trident. Most Britons want less spent on welfare. Most Britons don't give a damn about whether the railways are state or privately owned.0 -

It seems with Scottish Independence people are quite happy to vote for it in 30 years. Its getting them to vote for it in a referendum when the referendum is today that seems to be the problem.0 -

It already feels like 30 years since the last indy referendum.
Maybe that's the SNP plan; bore the voting public into submission.

Context.
I was asked what "would" be bad for the SNP in my opinion. I didn't post what I think will happen.
Though one has to remember that only one year ago.. 56 SNP MP's in Westminster... would've been 'Alice in Wonderland' politics too. It happened anyway. Corbyn could do the same.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

What's Corbyn got to offer that's new and exciting? English Independence?0
