Well that's odd. Because I could've sworn a few pages back you posted an article from the FT re the SNP and were all over it like a rash as absolute 150% no joshing proof that the SNP were doing a bit crap in government. But when it's the Conservatives suddenly it's 'speculation' ? Make your mind up. Because you're making me laugh, and feel a bit sorry for all the flailing about you're doing trying to make your own facts fit the stories.

However, there's a queue forming for the next one... ;)

Probably because my article was a factual piece based on facts whereas yours was a speculative one based on.....speculation.

The English won't be paying for another referendum any time soon I hope. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if the SNP was to take still more money out of the classroom and yhe emergency room to pay for another one.

If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.

Well there's a classic Shakey post, ignore the point made and respond instead to any criticism of the SNP, specifically deception, by boasting about how many people have been fooled. Another bit of ignoring the means in favour of any sort of result.

No the SNP have certainly not been talking up or about another referendum since the General Election. It been speculation mainly by others ( both pro-indy and against ) as to what their October conference/manifesto going into May 16 will include regarding one.

And good luck winning people round to your point of view with the old '50% of Scots voters are gullible, deluded idiots' line. As it's an insult to one's intelligence ( and 50% of Scots voters intelligence too).
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

I thought Nicola was going to take it slow and steady? Well at least until there was a favourable poll, the oil price recovered to $100 or the wind changed.

She'll wait until the polls show consistent support well above the 50% mark. And they're certainly moving in the right direction. Hard as that is probably for you to concede.

No all the articles showed that Tory rebels are willing to vote with Labour when it comes to Europe, and other areas too. You stated that was nonsense.. when it's obviously not the case. However much you want it to be. Sorry.

The English won't be asked to pay for a referendum. Where the money comes from, won't be your concern.

Did the Constitution change? I realise I'm out of touch over here in Aus as I only called the referendum and the general election correctly which you called incorrectly.

Does the SNP now have the power to call a binding referendum or are you just making it up again?

It was made clear by both sides that the last referendum was a once in a generation opportunity to put this to bed and the result was conclusive. The SNP can cling to power for as long as Londoners are prepared to pay for their follies but they can't make them pay for another referendum.

it was made clear in the last referendum that there would be a "vow" kept..that didnt happen either ...

see the thing your forgetting is ... it will be the people that will decide, alot of politicians seem to forget it is the people that put them in power ( unless ofcourse it is rigged ... and well I have still to be totally convinced that it either was or wasnt first time round)

The movement you are currently seeing is coming from the people, yes it may be media led and yes the politicians may be stoking the flames ... but the people are doing the shouting ... And much as maybe Shake and the SNP want ... they aint gonna shut up.

Rise has now formed, which will split the Yes camp vote, not a huge fan of Rise myself but I can see they are popular already, they wont be the only political party to form ( as I have previously stated) I do wish they would wait till after indy though, but I can only assume they are so fed up with the SNP they want to offer their alternative Yes alliance

Will be interesting to see how Sturgeon handles Rise tbh

I've even thanked your post because it gave me a laugh.

He wasn't an MP then. He's obviously a 'staunch republican'.. and most of the tweets are years old. He definitely needs his wrists slapped though.. I did think a few of them were quite funny ( Hinge and Bracket and Osborne being 'thick as mince' ).. but not really respectful. And to be fair, the story is only out today.. I think Nicola Sturgeon is a bit busy at the moment meeting humanitarian groups in order to see what the Scottish Govt can do re refugee's.

I've seen just as bad from Foulkes and Ian ( bayonet the wounded ) Davidson. I see the Daily Mail didn't bother to report those. * rolls eyes *

Foulkes is a bit unintentionally hilarious sometimes with the daft things he comes out with. Shame he's so nasty with the daft comments and tweets sometimes too.
“The SNP are on a very dangerous tack. What they are doing is trying to build up a situation in Scotland where the services are manifestly better than south of the border in a number of areas.”

Interviewer Colin Mackay:”Is that a bad thing?”

Lord George Foulkes: “No, but they are doing it deliberately.”!!
    :D

The articles claimed that was the case. Until they do that is just speculation.
