You don't have to 'sign up' for something directly...Email addresses are 'harvested' from a legitimate site, and 'sold on'. It's why so many website these days have big bold promises of 'NEVER passing your email address onto any third party' blah blah. Because that's how third party websites get your details.
I signed a petition on Change.org about 6 months back. And have been receiving emails from the Labour Party ever since for some reason. I obviously didn't sign up to receive emails from them directly !
re the storyhttp://newsshaft.com/snp-mp-denies-link-to-hacked-adultery-site/
In short, a bunch of stories only good for filling up a few newspaper columns while everyone is on holiday from politics, far more interested in sitting back with popcorn watching Labour implode. But at least you did check the dates this time Hamish. I'll give you that.
Haha, yeah that's what I'd be telling my other half if my email address had been 'used' to sign up to an adultery website.:rotfl:
I don't really care what this woman does in her spare time but her excuse is risible.
Any other SNP supporters that might be worried that they accidentally signed up to have an affair while trying to buy a gift for their OH can try this useful tool:

I wonder how many flowers Ms Thomson's fetishes are. We know her husband works long hoursI always knew that it would be a huge commitment commuting to London most weeks; not just for the MPs, but for their families.
I’m glad that my children are now grown-up and, although I miss them, it’s not the same pressure as when they are small.
My husband will work longer hours during the week and we’ll resolve to ensure the precious time we have together is well spent.

The low price of oil is indeed a great benefit to the UK economy.
Scotland benefits as it is (still) part of the UK and receives huge subsidies from the English, which are unrelated to the oil price.
Scotland without the English subsidy and with a low oil price would be in a different situation.
Thank you so much for proving my point.:)Last time I looked Scottish households and companies were still part of the UK ? It's only when they're not the narrative reverses. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Got to be honest here. No-one really cares what Ms Thomson may or may not do in her spare time or in her private life. But if the thought of it has you slavering at the mouth at the thought and googling fetishes etc ? Feel free to provide us all with as many unproven seedy details and rumours as you like. Mabye change your username to ParisHilton or something ?
Silly season right enough. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

The thing is, every single person caught out by this leak will be using exactly the same excuse about email addresses and 'harvesting', 99.99% of them will be lying.
What makes an SNP MP any more believable than any other person that works long hours away from home and has apparently been caught out?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Correct.
But everyone will care if she's been lying about it in the national press.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I realise as one of the True Faith, all things SNP are correct for you.
I stated that I don't give a flying fox who Ms T has sex with, I am merely mocking her rather pathetic attempts to claim that she wasn't a client.
Again, I don't care what her pecadillos are any more than I care what yours are. I just found the idea that the Fox News commentators were discussing how many flowers could repay your partner for a particular fetish.
It may surprise you to hear that most Americans don't care about how SNP pollies get their rocks off.0 -

That's 100% for me. Who cares who she's shagging? SNP supporters should be more concerned that lying seems to come so easy.0 -

I think it was Hamish who brought up the subject not me ? So no, I don't need surprised about anything 'most Americans' and SNP pollies. I certainly don't give a flying fox either. Not interested in the slightest, Tory, Labour or SNP. Certainly not enough to waste time posting about it and getting all gleeful about fetishes and flowers on Fox news. You ( and Hamish ) seem bothered about it far more than I am for some reason.
I think her explanation sounds plausible enough, you don't. Agree to disagree then Mr Hilton. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Ah Shakey, I refer you to your own comments...Shakethedisease wrote: »People don't readily accept or trust proven liars in office.

Cut her a bit of slack Hamish, she may have signed on for 'research' reasons.0
