I think we can safely now add time travel to the list of magical Unionist powers.

Uh Oh....
Trouble in NatLand. The SNP is facing a crisis in Uddingston and Bellshill after angry clashes between warring members led to a meeting being abandoned.
Some members were said to have been left shaken by the level of verbal abuse dished out by some of those present, and it’s understood at least one complaint of threatening behaviour has been made to the police.
Uddingston and Bellshill branch has been hit recently by claims that it is being infiltrated by supporters of the far left Solidarity party.
And in a topic I have mentioned previously several times...Ex-SNP leader calls for break up of Police Scotland
THE former SNP leader Gordon Wilson has launched a scathing attack on Police Scotland’s failures, and says his party’s ministers must take their share of responsibility for creating the centralised force.
Mr Wilson called for a “root and branch” reform of the service following the succession of crises to have engulfed Police Scotland, claiming the beleaguered single force should be broken up
“The problem goes much deeper than Sir Stephen House. Here the parliament, ministers and civil servants must accept responsibility. To ‘retire’ Sir Stephen in a cosmetic move will do nothing to tackle the real difficulties of Police Scotland.”
Mr Wilson’s outspoken criticism of his SNP colleagues is embarrassing for the Scottish Government. Political opponents described Mr Wilson’s remarks as an “extraordinary intervention”, which showed the failure of the SNP’s biggest act of public reform and the extent to which the public has lost confidence in Police Scotland.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

The SNp bandwagon is one all the opportunists and power-thirsty will want on now, eventually leading to the same level of public distaste that labour/lib dmes/tories have had

No, just email harvesting. It happens all the time. That's why most people get spam in their inboxes. You don't have to 'sign up' for something directly...Email addresses are 'harvested' from a legitimate site, and 'sold on'. It's why so many website these days have big bold promises of 'NEVER passing your email address onto any third party' blah blah. Because that's how third party websites get your details.
I signed a petition on Change.org about 6 months back. And have been receiving emails from the Labour Party ever since for some reason. I obviously didn't sign up to receive emails from them directly !
re the story. It is impossible to assess the validity of the email addresses published as the website does not require any email verification in order to create an account, meaning that any individual could use somebody else’s email address without requiring access to the email account.
re the SNP meeting... OMG haud me back. There was an argument it seems. Some members were said to have been left shaken by the level of verbal abuse dished out by some of those present,
And in the Motherwell Times too !!!!
As for Mr Gordon 'declare UDI now' Wilson. Bless. He's been out of the game for a very long time now. Nice to see him getting wheeled out every now and again. He never was very keen on the likes of Salmond and Sturgeon though. They're simply not radical enough for him in terms of the Scottish independence question.
In short, a bunch of stories only good for filling up a few newspaper columns while everyone is on holiday from politics, far more interested in sitting back with popcorn watching Labour implode. But at least you did check the dates this time Hamish. I'll give you that.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
How's the oil price these days?If I don't reply to your post,

How's the oil price these days?
Fueling the entire UK economy's recovery apparently. The cheap price of oil is continuing to fuel the UK recovery with both households and companies benefiting, a leading economist has said.
Last time I looked Scottish households and companies were still part of the UK ? It's only when they're not the narrative reverses. Funny that..It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

The low price of oil is indeed a great benefit to the UK economy.
Scotland benefits as it is (still) part of the UK and receives huge subsidies from the English, which are unrelated to the oil price.
Scotland without the English subsidy and with a low oil price would be in a different situation.0
