Salmond and Sturgeon Want the English Fish for More Fat Subsidies

Still struggling with the bigger picture I see Shakey.
There is a world outside Scotland. .
Yes, but no votes for the SNP there. Most of Scotland is 'anti-Tory' so you can't really be seriously wondering why the SNP, to quote yourself, aren't more 'Pro-Tory'.. ?It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
One simple example.
Pro-Tory means pro-EU referendum.
This presents the risk of a Yes vote.
Shakey, you keep telling us that if England votes Yes, then that is effectively the end of the Union.
The Tories and SNP....natural allies0 -

Electorate reports broken Irony Meter.
I'm guessing that wasn't quite the response they were looking for...:)
I've hardly saw a mention of this bar from Twitter to be honest. However I do find it slightly concerning..... that...According to Cabinet Office transparency documents, £2.5 million was set aside in January for a publicity campaign for the UK Government’s limited devolution proposals – five times as much as they planned to spend on maximising voter registration.
As for the Salmond story. Well, gosh, that's the first I've read along those lines !... or is it the 1000th over the last few years ? :cool:It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Some parties deserve it more than others.
But that aside, what is your opinion to my remark "But you are right, there are Tory policies which would help the SNP cause. For example, the effort to tenegotiate the terms for the UK within the EU, if successful, will ultimately benefit the non-eurozone members of the EU, and thus provide a favourable precedent for a Natland wanting to join the EU without having to join the Euro at the same time.
Well, Scotland wouldn't have to join the Euro to remain in the EU. So there's nothing much in that. Other countries in the EU don't use it.. they just have to 'promise' to think about it at some vague point in the future. See Sweden and Denmark.
It's more home grown Tory policies that will help the SNP. And without going into an list. Suffice to say that those Tory policies, will be the one's the SNP/Scottish voters like least. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

And the hits just keep on coming....Nicola Sturgeon linked to IT fraud probe
POLICE have launched a major fraud investigation after claims that 200 British workers at Scotland’s environment agency were sacked and replaced by cheaper staff from India and South America.
The claims, made by two former employees, were also passed on to Scotland’s First Minster Nicola Sturgeon, who was last night challenged to explain on why she took no action.
Embarrassingly, they come just two weeks after the SNP leader declared: "We need strong controls on immigration and we need to make sure people do not get away with abusing the system the rest of us pay for.”
Detectives from Police Scotland’s Economic Crimes Unit were last night investigating a raft of allegations including fraud, Visa fraud, breaches of employment law and misconduct in public office
This doesn't look good at all, especially after it emerged Police Scotland broke the law using snooping powers to spy on Journalists, and Sturgeon was made aware long before the story broke....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Well of course it 'doesn't look good. It's in the Express. Who have never run an article on the SNP that 'looks good'. Very few newspapers do. That doesn't stop the story being slanted up the ying yang though.Nicola Sturgeon linkedafter claimsraft of allegations
And what's more, we all know that Nicola Sturgeon isn't God. All seeing and seemingly personally responsible for every single crappy thing that happens in every single Scottish institution either. Including chandeliers in Bute House. In most cases, there are people in charge that should be in the firing line well before she is appearing in the headlines. IF, as in the Police Scotland 'scandal' these 'claims' and 'allegations' are found to be true when any investigation is complete. It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Always nice to hear from my fans. :T
I had wondered why this 'explosive' article hadn't reached Twitter yet, and had everyone foaming at the mouth demanding her resignation. Then I noticed the date of it's publication..PUBLISHED: 07:01, Mon, Apr 27, 2015
Not long before the General Election. However. It's middle of August now. I think Hamish's 'hit's keep coming' are looking a little retro in nature. Say what you like about acolytes, but at least we check basic facts before posting them breathlessly as today's breaking news.It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

Isn't it priceless how absolutely everyone caught out misbehaving online these days always blames it on "the hackers".
:rotfl:
UKIP were notorious for it in the run up to the GE.
