The vote has been cancelled. Now this is interesting, the SNP forced change without even voting, so the mere threat of them voting has forced DC to back down.

    Pesky wiley SNP

DC will no doubt wait until after EVEL to reintroduce it. Then the english will be able to pass their own laws without interference from the pesky SNP. ;)

Maybe that's Cameron's plan. The oil isn't worth much these days and perpetual conservative governments is an added bonus. :)

There's not a lot of point holding a vote that you know is going to lose.

I think there are other words than 'wiley' to describe a party that has behaved in this way given that fox hunting in England was very specifically given as an example of where the SNP wouldn't interfere in English & Welsh only matters. The idea that the SNP are somehow special and above the petty party politics of [STRIKE]the barstard English Oppressor[/STRIKE] Westminster is fraying at the edges rather.

One Angus Robertson was on the Daily Politics an hour or so ago.

He was anything but wiley. It was quite clear that the fox hunting position was really a show of defiance. The quote from Emperor Nicola was repeated back to him, but he didn't care.

They are the angry party, for sure.

What we have to remember here though ... Is the SNP didnt technically vote on the hunting ban ... just the mere threat of them forced a government climb down ...

Apparently even if EVEL is passed the SNP will still be allowed to vote on the fox hunting ban.

I still think the SNP were wrong to say they would vote on the bill, that wont change ... but they have managed to stir it up without even voting ...

Unlike the Non Scottish Tory and Labour Mp's that didnt even bother to turn up for the debate but voted in the Scotland bill ...

We become a more divided group of countries daily... that makes me happy I must say

Yes they are very angry at the moment, they were promised real powers and have been voted down when they tried to get them ... There are a lot of angry people as well ... And if she were an Empress it wouldnt be Emperor ... atleast try and get the gender specified terms correct
