Sturgeon said the account of her conversation was 100% untrue.
I don't believe anyone of relevance has claimed otherwise.
Civil service has form on this as well:

Regarding the Telegraph, ask Peter Oborne.
Your English press is rotten to its core.
Ah, I see. You're embittered against anything English. I should have spotted it earlier.0 -
That would be a first - She has form a'plenty.
What a bizarre world we live in. Not even attempting to address the question.
You guys are so desperate to maintain the status quo that there's no level you will not stoop.
SLP and the LDs jumping on the bandwagon to attack Sturgeon then hastily backtracking mere minutes later, tweets deleted aplenty!
Your London stooges are pitiful.0 -
You're playing the man, not the ball.
Are you proud of the English press? Best in the world, right?
The English press probably is the best in the world. The FT, Economist and Reuters are perhaps three of the top 5 news organisations in the world (the other two being Bloomberg and AFP).
The English are mostly Unionists and their newspapers reflect that. There is no hatred for the Scots, only for the SNP.0 -
Sturgeon smoulders on election debate high.

I am predicting an SNP landslide.0 -

I was replying to a post by string.. who's entire post was talking about the memo and was the first to draw attention to it. You shouldn't be so quick off the mark yourself mabye. If you didn't know anything about it till last night you must have been hiding in a cave.
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Having lived here for thirty years I'm so underwhelmed about the London-based press's understanding and coverage of Scotland and Scottish issues that I'm frankly surprised and even a bit impressed when they spell SNP correctly.
But that's usually all they get right.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Of course. This shouldn't come as any surprise.
We all have gone to significant lengths to defend the Union. Anyone old enough to remember the Irish problem knows this.
This is why the country as a whole is compensating for the dip in the primary Scottish revenue earner, Oil.
I find it odd how London citizens are villified for being net contributors to a region like Scotland.0 -
To the pro-independence supporters here, a question :
If offered independence tomorrow, would you take it?0
