So not smear and fear any more?
The Daily Record do nothing but smear and fear these days re the SNP. Possibly why their circulation is falling like a stone.
And then, there was you too buying into it wholesale without reading properly and posting nonsense about SNP supporters having 'form'. And not just 'form' a lot of it too ! In what exactly ?It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -

Why would any fringe, extremist party with 2% of the popular vote expect to have a significant voice at Westminster. It looks likely that the Greens and UKIP will easily poll 5x the votes of the SNP. The SNP should have an appropriate level of influence given their level of support.0 -

If as predicted there are 50+ SNP MP's in westminster you don't think they should have any influence? Is that essentially what you're saying?0 -

Says a lot that Generali thinks the governing party in Scotland for the last 7 years is an extremist 'fringe'. I think it says it all really.
Do you think Scotland should leave the union now Generali ? It's an honest and genuine question. I'm interested in your thoughts. Or should we just vote Labour MP's in again instead ?It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.

I'm saying that a party with 2% of the vote and 7% of the seats should not be setting the agenda.0 -

Really worrying signs of racism up there. Anyone on the ground (who isn't STD) able to comment on what it's like now we are 6 months post NO?
Can't say I'm what you call on the ground. But maybe depends where you live and how much involvement you have with social media I think. My area isn't much pro SNP but last year there were Yes signs and stickers plastered everywhere you looked. But there were several different groups , not just SNP out campaigning last year.
So far this year, albeit due to health not been out as much, haven't seen much signs of campaigning, or posters or stickers. Talking to my SIL on the phone asked him if he was seeing much activity, he works in Glasgow, and goes through the centre. He said nobody was talking about it at work this time round.
However when I looked up Patricia Gibson the other day , in relation to a post by Hamish I ended up on her Facebook page. Where she was attempting to organise a good old Ardrossan SNP welcome with banners etc for Gordon Brown who was visiting the area. Also reminder for participants to behave as the police would likely be in attendance. Do all other parties do this type of thing? Maybe it's always been like this and I never noticed? No idea how it turned out.
Also noted a comment from her bemoaning the fact that despite having 500 members , they weren't getting enough volunteers out campaigning at the weekend. Needed 12 and only 3 had turned up. Albeit was bad weather, and the SNP conference was on.
Seems from one reply the conference was much more important. It's like a badge of prestige. Lol.
The nut jobs are still there and both Pete Wishart and Salmond have made their own thoughts clear with comments, Wishart denigrating Nawbags, and Salmond the older generation. So no change at the top and I don't expect it's changed much , just not as visible outwardly this time.0 -

Possibly not welcome , mainly because of the impression our ex FM started giving of how it would operate last year Leanne. Remember it's only recently the motto changed to we're the anti austerity party , allegedly for all our friends. Or at least as was said by Sturgeon, ,'for as long as we remain members of the UK, we will be your allies' etc. Then all members flat out refusing to say an referendum in the 2016 manifesto is off the table. So that could be for a year or maybe three.
But in the meantime, as power brokers as far as I can see they will only support populist legislation for more spending, but not any cuts needed. While still wanting more concessions despite their infamous oil bubble revenue having burst for now. SNP policies aren't new or different, they're just a rehashed version of what didn't work decades before. Not even with their Scandic twist.
It's not the way to win friends and influence people. People down South were pretty amiable until Salmond opened that big mouth of his deliberately. And a bit disingenuous of you not to allow a few people on here over the border, their opinion on the matter, when there were plenty of opinions aired by 45% of Scottish people during the Indy Ref.
Fact is we are a democratic nation, so despite what people say or think, the democratic process will work. SNP will be involved in the Westminster process regardless of what is said or thought on here.
Which is a damn sight more I think than you will get in a Scotland run as a single party state, which could happen, however unlikely you or anyone else think it possible. Then you will get exactly what SNP decide is best for you. And the start of it is just around the corner in 2016.0 -

Really, and there was me thinking bringing on board 'the Wee Ginger Dug' a popular Indy blogger would boost their figures. Just goes to show.
Albeit I read his first article in the National the other week, called 'Wee Ginger Dug : A Brilliant Budget if You're rich , love driving and drink so much you can't tell your Agincourt from your Wembley' and thought the format had become more than a bit worn and tired.0
