We get 6 bottles of good Wine for £12 a week - how MSE is that? :rolleyes:

I would only have 1-2 glasses of Wine a night with Lemonade, now I can drink half a bottle again and find if I don't have enough Wine I can't sleep.

I was like this a few years ago and quit it completely.

I don't like drinking and once relied on it very much to relax, so I can sympathise with the lady who said her and her husband do the same. Me and my husband do this, and I hate it. I don't think we have drink problems, and that is not denial, but I do think it could lead to drinking problems if we carry on!

PLUS we both suffer terribly with heartburn from Wine and Lemonade.

I admire all those who have quit, and those trying to quit.. because the easiest thing in the World is to just grab a drink.

Good luck to all of you, you will get there in the end and your lives will be so different when you quit. :T

its all good ODAAT but nearly 15 months alcohol free zone.....

gettin on with life, on lifes' terms..... facing my fears and living my life

should be devorced in september.... next step is selling my home.. paying ALL

my debts off and renting a place of my own.......

but i no im ok and im going to be ok as long as i dont pick up...

so yes...... life is good. and i can look in the mirror and face the person who

stares back at me, right in the eye and smile back !!

I'm good thanks Ac, i finished my detox a year today. so i i aint had anything mind alturing form the street offie or doctor for a year now.. im well pleased as i never thought it possible. i always thought i'd need something even if it were "only" from the doctor.. but i aint had anything.... whay!

I've just read The waltons posts about dening being in denile and its took me back... the reason i thought i always needed something was to help me sleep cause its at night when i was left on me own with no tele or anything else to think about apart from me... i now realise that at whatever stage i was at in my addiction meaning the ammount i used i was dependant on things to change the way i felt or as i said above to get to sleep.

i sleep well now better even as i dont wake up feeling like i aint slept. i also sleep for a full 7-8 hours now when before i used to get by on 4 or 5. i thought i was one of the people that only needed that much. i look back now and realise that as soon as i stirred i'd be up looking for smomething to do so i didnt have to think to much about me and how un happy i was...

anyways im off to work now. nice to see you back ac, we just need al to pop his head in now.........

I have always followed your posts ac with interest as you have shown yourself to be in a very vulnerable situation. Yet dispite this you have always tackled it with honesty, and with sheer guts and determination.

May I congratulate you on your hugh achievement xx :A
