Went to another meeting tonight. Managed to find the place, walked in and there were about 30 people there. I burst in to tears and walked out - great first impression eh! A nice lady came out to talk to a me and I managed to stop crying and sat down to listen. Listened to some great shares about making ammends, really identified with a lot of things said. It was really scary though, and I ran off at the end as it didn't look like anyone was going to talk to me. It was a great meeting with lots of different people, but I don't know if such a big meeting is for me. A couple of the guys from last night are at the Sunday meeting so hopefully that won't leave me in tears. Really wish I could talk to my mum right now. Why did I have to start going to meetings when she is on holiday??!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Hiya Feelie
Remember what you said earlier on just because I'm not perfect doesn't mean I'm a failure. Feelie just getting there was a big thing for you and you made it, You even stayed there and that in it`s self is a great thing. Quite a few of understand totally how far you have come and what you have achieved so far. Just take it at the pace that you feel comfortable. No one is expecting anything , we are just here to hold your hand for when you feel ready :grouphug::drool:  Timberlake Hussy Clique Member No 3  :drool:0 -
I think I must have B.O. I don't look for over 24 hours then when I come back I find that there are 6 pages of posts. How nice to see so many people, old and new, contributing. There is no doubt about it that a busy thread is very interesting
On a more serious note, there will always be a bit of disagreement about what the best way forward is. If we can all learn to respect the other person's point of view and treat each other with love and understanding then, no matter what we believe, perhaps someone coming new to this thread may find it a helpful place rather than a place of discord. May your God go with you all.Something Really Interesting0 -
Hi Brodev
I have just been reading through the one of the old alcohol threads (roughly 14 months ago) It was always busy then, It was heartwarming seeing all the posts and the support that was there. Brings back a lot of memories and also makes me smile a lot to see how far we have all come. :T A few names there who haven`t been around for a while as well. Hope to hear from some of them to :A:drool:  Timberlake Hussy Clique Member No 3  :drool:0 -

Hi Folks, You have a happy bunny here. I leave tomorrow for Portugal where I complete the purchase of my house. It has taken until today for all the ends to come together so I have been living on a knife edge for the last few weeks.
I will be driving and it will take me 3-4 days to get there so, unless I get internet access on the way, I shall be AFK for a while. I hope that everybody keeps well and happy.Something Really Interesting0 -
Morning all
I'm doing good - had an assessment with an occupational therapist, and it really helped. I managed to open up a lot more than I've been able to in the past, which I'm sure helped!
Decided to ask for a Temporary Sponsor at my next Sunday meeting. Got a few other meetings to go to, but so far that is the one that felt most 'me'.
Busy reading and listening at the moment, so much to learn.
Hope everyone is well
Edit - Brodev, enjoy the drive and enjoy your new house! Looking foward to hearing about it when you've settled in.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
