HI all,
What a lovely meeting I had with Brod at an AA meeting this week. He came into the room and asked did anyone know a Welsh girl at the meeting. I crept up behind him and put my finger on my lips to the ones he was asking and put my arms around his waist and gave him a big hug. Lucky he was the kind that didn't take offence.
Brod you had me wondering there what on earth a f2f is!!!!! Then the penny dropped hahhahahah face to face. Especially since you said it was a first for you!!!!
Thanks for talking to me and helping me along the way in the courage to change my thinking and my actions.

hii everyone, well so far still so good!!!!! he not had a drink still, and he chose to go to the AA meeting this week (no2) of his own accord. I went to my Alanon meeting, and reported my present good news.

things are still good, he is a nice person under all the booze, but i stand by one drink and hes gone.... sorry to sound harsh but ive put up with it for a year, and put my 17yr old daughter thro it.... no more.....

Two lovely positive posts to end the weekend on. I'm so pleased for you both, and in fact everyone on this thread who is doing really well in their various circumstances.

Taffyscot I have a huge confession - I thought you were a bloke! . I don't know what gave me that idea - must have been the name I suppose. (We had a cat called Taffy who was a boy ). Sorry anyway, I'll not make that mistake again!

I can assure all Taffyscot is not a bloke. In case anybody misunderstood Taffy is the first person I have met f2f after meeting on line. It really was nice. Feelie what wonderful news. Congratulations. Loopy good news from you as well, I hope everything continues to be good.

Feeling good congrats that is fab news. Bogof where have you been and how are you doing? I haven't seen you for a while. Brod are you back in Portugal now I missed you at the meet? Hhahahhahah to the bloke thing especially since I said I came up and gave him a big hug around the waist. He would have had a fit if I had been a bloke. We went for a stroll along the front and he treated me to a scone and a cup of coffee. I am glad we are all doing well. Meeting was good today over 30 people there and very encouraging to hear all the people staying sober and not taking the first drink.
I think we are all feeling good today. Ok you lot don't take that the wrong way now now!!!!!! specially since you think I am a bloke.

Taffy I'm still here. I don't go to Portugal for 3 weeks.
It's nice to see all this good feeling round here. Just to add a little to it I had my 44th AA birthday last Thus.
