Michelle, don't envy you having to clear up the murderous aftermath. Mice I can rescue or clear up but a rabbit? Crikey, that's ambitious of them!

I didn't mean i had cleaned it up. I said, Darling, it looks like Ginger is killing something, he dragged it under that bush over there,

and DH dutifully gets his shovel and chucks it in the bin.

I dread to think what the dustbin men will think this week when all of the critters that we have cleaned up fall out.

It wasn't a huge rabbit, but big enough, but then again i have watched Ginger get a pidgeon before. He is small, but nimble and persistent, and once he has his target he doesn't let go unfortunately so i am glad i only witness the aftermath mostly.

Glad to hear Bob is recovering.
  • I've been a bit lazy this evening. I've moved the boys cage downstairs into the lounge, so I can try and socialise them a little more. Tidied up my study and vacuumed it, now I can actually move around in there, it's just a little too small to have the rat cage in.

I've started on trying to clear out the hallway. Nearly everything from the lounge was dumped in there, plus a whole load of DIY and decorating stuff. I'm refusing to just move it from one place to another, so I need to find new homes for things. Some things will go back into the lounge once it's been decorated, so those are just being stored away for now.

welcome to all the newcomers :)

sorry haven't time to read all posts , might try and do that tomorrow with a nice cuppa if the kids will let me! Welcome and good luck to newcomers and hugs for all who need them.

Wednesday being master bedroom day is perfect for me as its in need of a good dusting!

We got back from holidays today and it was lovely to come back into a clean and fresh house :j . I managed to get everything unpacked and as we stayed at Mums and did washing there , there isnt too much to do. I have a load ready to come on in the morning. Also managed to get hubs to cut the grass this afternoon so thats a job done. And I did icing biscuits with the kids which they loved and they behaved fairly well for the rest of the afternoon.

    Wednesday I need to:
    hang out washing from machine
    do an online shop
sort out food for next few days til online shop arrives
do some craft thing with kids to keep them happy
get DS to try on his first set of school uniorm to make sure it fits

Morning all. No time to read all previous posts, but a couple of things stuck out . . .

So many newbies!!! Welcome, each and every one of you :)

    And:
I've moved the boys cage downstairs into the lounge

Oooer - do they have cages big enough for teenage boys . . . :rotfl: Shirley, that did make me laugh :)

I think I'm only working a half day today - so if that is the case this is my plan for this afternoon:

    Pick up rugby ticket
    Pay DS2 dentist account
Get end of month accounts finished - business & personal
    (Oh - I forgot - HAPPY AUGUST!!)
Update all accounts for the end of month
    Clean both toilets
    Vacuum all floors and sofas
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)
Clear one hotspot, or just spend at least 5 minutes tackling it

Ive just washed the cat:eek:. She came home covered in oil  so that was it, straight to the bathroom and under the shower. She was sooooooo good, ok there was scrabbling to get out  but no scratching, no noises, no nasty behavior. OK i got soaked trying to catch her with the shower head twisting around like a snake as i wasnt holding it, but shes clean :T. Ive toweled her down and shes now licking herself, now to go dry her with the hair dryer!!

So proud of her for her first time, wont be repeating it in a hurry though!!!

Right time for bed, hope everyone sleeps well, see you tomorrow, apart from Denise  MORNING!!!!

Yay for the Archers' Addicts! It's actually the only soap I tune into, I don't even watch TV soap operas thank goodness as there's still so much else to watch.
Pigpen wow 5 longhairs! My son is going that way, his is down to the bottom of his collar now, he's 11. My own hair is down to the bottom of my bottom and my daughter's is hovering between armpit and mid-back length.

Yep, today I vacuumed her room after a good tidy-up and afterwards I had to cut a squirrel out of the Dyson brushbar. Then I vacuumed her room again, and could see a visible difference once the brushbar was defuzzed.
I'll have to do it all again after I clean the bathroom carpet!

    Morning all

Well despite my good intentions haven't done very well at all so far this week. Went to my niece's house on Monday which I thought was only going to be for an hour or so and I'd be back for dinner. Arrived back at teatime! I did take about 4 bags of stuff with me though that had been sitting on the dining room floor so that helped to clear the floor a bit.

Yesterday I ended going to my mate's house and then my parent's house for tea so I went our about 11am and returned at 9.30pm!

Managed to do most of the washing only 2 more loads to do but the ironing pile is looking like Mount Everest! DH says he'll do some tonight while I'm at work (he's ran out of T-shirts - all washed, just not ironed).

Going to have a go at our bedroom today but at the moment I can't even see the floor to hoover.:o

I'm having an early start today to see what I can get done before the kids start whinging at me that they're bored!

    Catch you all later

Morning all, a more sensible post now.... Cats all clean and wont leave oil paw prints over my white duvet cover which is about to be flung in the washing machine.
