I've had a brainwave about our living room. I suddenly knew which picture I wanted on which wall, which picture frame to get DH for St Nicolas, where to put the comfy chair, where to move the sofa, persuaded DH to remove the home cinema set we no longer use (we have a new one, with much smaller speakers - the old speakers were on display for visitors.....).
Ever since last week, when we took a carful of stuff to the recycling centre, we are in a flow of moving stuff to its proper place, and it feels good!Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590 -
2, A massive V of geese flew over my head watched them until they dissapeared from view heading over the North Sea.I always wish them luck for their journey
What joy have you got to report today it always cheers me up hearing about it

I love seeing geese flying overhead, they cross from the lake in the park near me and fly over my garden.:)
My joy today is wrapping Christmas presents. I am using old Am*zon boxes to put them in and wrapping them in brown paper and ribbons.:A0 -
Evening all! Went to the club last night to help decorate - we all worked hard and it looks lovely with a beautiful tree AND the lights worked first time
Only fly in the ointment was my friend brought her bag of jeans for me - I could just about lift the bag!!! Hav'n't opened it yet - its sitting under the dining room table like a black gremlin that looks at me every time I walk past
Bought a couple more Ginger flavoured goodies for DH's uncle's Birthday on Saturday. A nice card for my neighbour & two Turkey crowns for DS1 as he's doing Christmas dinner for 12!. The only things I've managed to Kondo are DS1's old school reports to him!I

Although my kondoing is going very slowly I still thought I had done quite a lot and the house is looking better. My parents came to stay the other week and my mum raised her eyebrows when I said the house was looking tidier. If they had seen the amount of stuff that has left this house...she commented on the dining room and spare room which are both used as store room whilst we are kondoing. The pile of boxes and containers in the dining room I was keeping in case I needed them for storage have gone today. They arrived with 2 chairs which go with our table and chairs and used to belong to them. I love the chairs and they bring me joy but I wasn't prepared for them and it's not easy to suddenly find room for two extra chairs in a small room. Things have been rearranged it all fits in...

Bunbun2, can you flatten the boxes? You may not need them, but if you do, you can easily refold them, maybe reinforce them with duct tape.

Morning all
Hugs to those who need them
Iqueen hope you are alright
Working full time till Christmas doing sick cover for my job share person, this is unbelievably woo and I am loving it, just feel a little guilty that someone is ill in order for me to get this.
Wrapped some secret Santa gifts I need to post at the weekend and put the tree up last night, that was most joyful. I do love a Christmas tree
Better get the boys shifted and get ready for work I suppose, have a joyful day all.SPC~12 ot 124

the boxes have gone, they went in the recycling yesterday. I finally saw sense and realised it was daft to keep them when OH gets a box everytime he goes to lidl so won't have to wait long for another if I need it.
My parents aren't kondoing as they don't need to, they don't have 'stuff'
This process has made me more aware of what I want to do and what I don't. A few time recently I have said 'no' tompeople instead of saying yes and worrying about it. I was asked to do an extra hour's work but it was about 45 minutes drive away. The oney would have been nice but I said no and am not sitting worrying about it for weeks. I was also invited out for a meal, again a long drive away and on my busiest day of the week. I really couldn't face it so declined.
I have a dilemma though. My godson will be 6 in a couple of weeks. He is the youngest of 4 and I have known his parents since my ds1 was born (17 years). We used to give presents to all children (birthday and Christmas) but I did last year and she didn't so I stopped this year. I know she is busy as her eldest has ME and is only at achool part time but it doesn't take long to send a text. I don't know what to do about my godson's birthday. Most of my boys' godparents have no contact and I feel this is wrong, so what should I do about my godson? Should I give him a birthday present or kondo the whole family?saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

bunbun Do you have any contact with your Godson ? I would just be inclined to send a card if you dont, If you do then maybe send a small voucher and see if you get a thank you from Mum/Your friend.
Then take it from there.
It is always difficult as kondo makes you see what you never noticed before.
I am glad you are saying no when asked to do things you dont really want to do. I have also found this and I am happy with this change in us both and most likely more of us
Have a joyful day all and enjoy the Sun if you are lucky enough to have it shining where you liveAs I am today

Bunbun - good advice from Mavvy, I was going to suggest something similar. I will be making a detour this weekend to see my Godmother. She lives 250 miles away from us but I do try to see her whenever I can. She's now in her 80's & this year is the first time she's not sent me a birthday card but I know its because her health has not been good. She's now the last link I have with my mother as they lived next door to each other.
Will be Kondoing the basket of goodies for DH's uncle and a bag of bits and some pots of home made jams & chutneys to auntie and Christmas cards to all the rellys that will be at the lunch so will save on postage!
Sun shine here too Mavvy so am going to the hairdressers (new one - £9.50 for wash & cut!) to get some hair kondoed!

thanks mavvymoo and slivasava. I think I will send a card and maybe a small voucher then I don't have to arrange to meet up and deliver a present.saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
