Gone to the animal chazza- coffee maker , coffee bean grinder, salad spinner and (after some reminiscing) toasted sandwich maker. Not used any of these items in ten years. ..had to make sure family member did not see exit of moving in present coffee maker. ...I had aspirations when I moved in of Sunday morning freshly brewed coffee, leisurely papers in bed....with handsome stud muffin :rotfl::rotfl:
I also have my eye on the salad spinner - it simply never gets used....
No Min's game yet. Terrible day at work, may be too knackered...
If I don't I will roll over to tomorrowI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
OMG! What a day!
Kitchen is now back in it's usual state - still messy, but back to normal. I did kondo the dish of ancient Fenugreek, which was well-out-of-date, but smelled nice, a while back. Need to clear the whole window-sill though, when I kondo the kitchen. It sure feels good to have my kitchen back, with its sink shined.
I did some other cleaning and tidying, but have the laundry to catch up on, tomorrow. Also, went to the PO.
The rest of the day was taken up with trying to fix my laptop, which had a problem and 'refreshing' my browser last night lost me all my bookmarks, passwords and other things I needed. I managed to finally fix it, about an hour ago; so have just eaten!Don't know why I managed to get here this morning from the update email, but tonight it wanted a login. Thank goodness the swapped files worked, cos I haven't a clue what my passwoord is anymore!
I used to have a letter rack - years ago, but it just attracted miscellaneous scraps of paper etc, and went... in the days when kondoing came naturally! :rotfl:
Sadly, I think there is an oak and brass one somewhere in the Room of Doom, inherited from a relative whom I didn't like. Its passport to the CS is stamped already!I'm also eyeing a lot of casual items that are just dust-collectors - not only are they unnecessary 'noise', they clutter my mind. I want a home where a quick swish and swipe are all that needs doing. :j
Thanks for the welcome back, and to PollyWolly Doodle for the link - I can happily say that I am 'at the centre of my wheel', and believe me, the peace and contentment is wonderful! :dance:Needs, NOT wants!

Oo, the salad-spinner, VJsmum! I always wanted one of those, but I use a tea-towel instead.
I also wanted a coffee-grinder, but I'm now a confirmed Philistine, and use N*scafe Original! (Dunno what they did to G Blend, but it tastes foul since Austerity!) :rotfl:Needs, NOT wants!

iQueen, Gold B.... gives me terrible headaches. I only realised when someone at work said the same. Carte N.... for me now!
we were away last week, had a lovely relaxing staycation in Wales so no kondo-ing as such. I did benefit, as many have said, from easy locating of clothes, good packing and quick turnaround on return home. Everything is already washed, dried and put away.
Today was a bit full on workwise -very busy, late finish and to cap it all our whole department has been put at risk of redundancy, 45 day consultation under way. 11 posts definately going out of 58. I have worked there for ages so would get 12 weeks' notice if push comes to shove. Not stressing, yet.
Working in the morning but have the afternoon to attend to some komono, hopefully. Looking forward to getting back to it, just like iQueen.
Chin up everyone,
MI have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0 -
I think I may be starting to hoard mushroom punnets:o.
This weekend we had Portobello mushrooms and they came in a nice long punnet which will be extremely useful. But for what?
Would you share what you use your mushroom containers for?0 -
Morning all
Hope everyone is as well as can be, hugs and positive vibes where needed.
Think I may be in work full time today, been asked to go in and see what happens.
No kondoing really yesterday, I did take a carrier of stuff that was awaiting clothes bank drop off down there so that's out of the hall, the. Went cinema so took a parcel that came for DD3 and lent her fiancee our tesc0 card so he could Kondo my fuel saving as we don't use it. I took a bottle of hand wash into work as our class had run out and I have quite a stash of it.
Going to take the dream catcher in today I made for one of the teachers so that's something else off the table.SPC~12 ot 124

So today I have to do Mins game days 28 and 29
A total of 57 items :eek::eek:
I really can't give up now - so far I have 2:rotfl:
A bit of a fail yesterday, when OH said "where is the handle from the heater"
It was one of the "random bits of plastic" Kondoed
Luckily I haven't done the hard plastic tip run so have rescued it, he hasn't noticed yet.
Do I fess up?I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
VJsmum I'd keep quiet in case thes the potential danger of in future kondoing being blamed for everything that can't be found.SPC~12 ot 124

Min's game day # 28 (yesterday)
23 pens and pencils (and we still have piles left)
1 letter rack (i noted what people have said, mine had some old receipts which can be binned or filed and some bank information which can be filed. letters get dealt with immediately)
1 rubbish screwdriver
1 plastic disney mug
1 measuring cup
1 x 2 small plastic "disposable" egg cups - we have 8 others in the cupboard, these were being kept as "JIC" - I think it unlikely we will need to serve up 10 boiled eggs :rotfl::rotfl:)
I know individual pens and pencils is a cheat but they are binned and gone, so nerI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Morning all
Need to kondo the 5lb I have put on the last week due to eating chocolate and feeling a bit under the weather. I dont normally eat choc but felt the need to have 4 bars of the stuff :rotfl:and big bars at thatOnwards and upwards
I am itching to kondo something anything but I havent really got any carp left now. :rotfl:But will search today and maybe switch somethings round into different storage places ready for my sewing machine :Tand all the stuff that goes with it.So looking forward to getting it with the nights drawing in now it will be nice to settle down and play with it.;) I reckon I may have to kondo some cushions to make way for my masterpieces when I have made them :rotfl:As they will be a good start I think (no zips) only buttons to start.Oh and some shopping bags as I cant see them being to hard
My Dad (83) Has just come back from a walking holiday in Derbyshire he walked between 6 - 10 miles a day. :eek:Also rode a mountain bike for the first time in 60 years ! Fell off and cut his leg but got back on and enjoyed every second of itI am really proud of him and so hope I can do all these things at his age.I have got his new 13.5 tog quilt and he already has it on his bed.I also got him a new kettle as his one had leaked for years  So he is so joyful at the moment he is a pleasure to be around :DNever thought I would say that !
