Morning all
Lovely looking day here, soft blue skids with just the one fluffy white cloud. Took a couple of too small and I've never seen him wear them tops and a body warmer out of Ds2 wardrobe yesterday for the Cs bag. I've got a suitcase I'm filling that the Cs can sell or dump to take the next load in, we have more suitcases than people In the house!SPC~12 ot 124

The Queen of konverts is back  Another 4  big bags of clothes shoes and other stuff which has been kept as I thought it brought me joy or thought it would be useful
All escaped the colour ladies wardrobe weed and my 8 kulls :rotfl:6 pairs of shoes that were all slightly too big and slipped but kept incase my feet grew at some point in the future
They are now all in my car incase I change my mindFeel so good and full of joy
I love KM and you know it makes sense and shut your eyes and be totally ruthless
1, Your feet are never going to grow to the next size up
2, You are not going to lose 2 stone in a week
3, You are not going to put on 2 stone in a week
4, Why have 4 Red jumpers when you have 1 lovely Cashmere one
5, as above with Black
6, You are not 90 years old and even if you are why wear a frumpy cardi just coz you love the Colour
7,Why wear 3/4 sleeves when you hate them no matter how joyful the item is
8, Why wear low necklines when you spend the whole time pulling them up and making sure you are not doing a Judy Finnigan
9, Why wear roll necks when they never sit right on you and you feel like you are being strangled
10, Why wear knits that are so heavy you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders
11, Why keep things as they were expensive (the bags gone) ;)The moneys gone if you can afford to chazzer them if not sell them.
12, Why hang on to dresses that you love but really dont suit you or make you feel you are in the film 'What ever happened to Baby Jane':rotfl:Or Dallas or one flew over the cuckoo's nest :rotfl:
These are just some of my reasons for letting go.I am sure you can think of more
Let it fly let it go and never look back1.3/4 hours to move from my house now. Going to try and get it down to 1.5 hours x

I know a lot of you dont iron and I dont blame you. But sometimes I enjoy the misery :rotfl:of ironing. If that makes sense. Maybe I feel like a mindful wife and I dont feel like that often.:o But I do like nice pressed clothes and bedding
Nothing better than fresh ironed bedding it brings me joy and if I could be bothered to change the bed every day that would be sheer bliss
and so joyful every night
If I ever won the lottery I would get someone in to do that everyday and would pay any price :rotfl:
I quite like the 'mindlessness' of ironing and do it in front of the tv (my ironing pile is therefore worse when I can't find things on tv which I like!) and I LOVE the end result (ironed fresh bedding is amazing) I iron teatowels, leggings, all bedding (inc ftted sheets), PJs etc. What I don't iron is towels and underwear (except vests for small ones) With 6 of us I do a LOT of ironing but can't abide wearing unironed clothes (I even ironed muslins, baby vests and bibs when mine were wee!:o)If I have to start doing the housework in 1950's style dresses (which I love) then so be it...
Do it - with a pinny on!x

I dont iron very often but when I do I like the 'smell' of ironing.............is that weird??:rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Maman - yes I think his wardrobe is the place to start and I'm going to wait until he's in the right frame of mind and then strike when the iron is hot! His own maman (who in fact happens to French, like him!) is pretty bad at accumulating stuff, which she moves to his grandma's house next door when it gets too much. But mamie's house and garage are near bursting point now, so there has been the radical suggestion of a 'vide grenier' or garage sale, which he enthusiastically supported. So I just need to get him to replicate this for our own house now!Remember Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is usually the right one.

Great post Mavvy, I applaud your dedication to kondoing and the enthusiasm you put into it.
Blue fire, I love 50s style clothing as well but don't actually own any, I now want the dress they made last year on the sewing bee (walk away I think it was) to do my housework in.
I'm doing joyful ironing at the mo. I've decided to give myself the day off and do some more quilting. So I'm sewi and ironing squares. It is bringing me joy.SPC~12 ot 124

YES YES YES to those above!!! And I can add
13. -'what's the point of having ANYTHING black when you know you can only wear it once because it will get covered in tabby cat hair and you can lint roller it to within an inch of it's life but it will never look good again!!:rotfl:
14. - you might have had great legs 20 years ago but that teeny skirt/dress says 'in denial about my current age' and levels of cellulite and thread veins...might be ok with black leggings but refer to 13 above....!!
I'm WAH today got an appointment [ahem]. Washing is in the machine, yippee!!
I've made a list of categories I still need to tackle. I'm not a big fan of to do lists as they can really stress you out, but I needed a bit of a self steer to get me going again. In my 'lunch break' I am going to run the hoover around the house and the washing will be hung out during a 'tea break'. Also means I won't be rushing around and tired for my THIRD kayaking lesson tonight (which I've discovered I'm rubbish at but it's a 6 weeks course and I've paid up front so....)
Ha ha Mavvy at your chooks sitting on your lovely new jumper, how well I know that feeling, part of you is mad, but you can't help but laugh cos it has given her joy! Why why why do they never sit on the ones destined for the chazza LOL!!Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Morning all.
Yesterday's too big shoes went joyfully to the bin but have a weekend away now so Kondoing on hold until Tuesday. DS is back to school (new to him 6th form college), so I have arranged to work from home in order to be there when he leaves and when he returns. I will have done so much extra work that "Working at home" means tidying and Kondoing.
Stupidly looking forward to it.
OH chucked out some old college notes yesterday for his "not really started dissertation" that he is never going to do. Slowly, slowly he is getting it.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

15, Dont wear Black leggings around a slobbery dog either
16, Leggings or tights you have to keep hitching up
17,Items that are too short in the body and remind you of those teenage crop tops :rotfl:Not a good look if you are over 30 (ish)
Mmm Chooks never sit on anything that 'doesnt matter' and never dig up plants that dont matter. Its just the way they roll really :rotfl:She also stuck her beak in my cup of tea yesterday just to add to the mayhem
Left over fete clothes goneDecided to put a donation in myself lifes too short for Eb*y let so let someone get a bargain and let it bring them as much joy as my Jumpers have brought me
Rail gone back to the village hall shed so spare rooms looking much lighter and almost back to normal
My whirlwind style is back 100% If its not nailed down its going
