The wedding glasses made me chuckle. We were having a family three hour trip on the train. As it was mum and dads golden wedding I happened to find two in the charity shop so thought I would pick them up. We weren't too bothered if they got broke but mum Insisted on keeping them... why? My sis and me just rolled our eyes!

People have been for their eBay stuff so my room looks decentish again ready for the next round. Have some friends round next week so it was timed perfectly!

Might attack the kitchen, especially the glasses. I have a shelf full of them... Just in case.. In case of what I ask myself?

My Dusters and microfibre cloths are also ranger rolled. In a drawer as are my steam mop pads and one of those gloves that you dust with all ranger rolled ;) Judi dont knock it until you try it :rotfl:

I agree!! Just like folding and 'filing' knickers:rotfl: I really thought life was too short but then tried it and it's transformed sone strorage of things including socks, PJ's and tea towels. I don't roll bathroom towels because it's suits us and our bathroom cupboard shelves not to...... its all a matter of personal preference but sometimes you can be surprised by something you never thought you would never do.........and I open drawers just to look too:D

    Doesn't everyone??? It's the law. ;)

    Yay on the dress! :T

I have a freestanding wardrobe with drawers underneath and it has a plinth. Someone on here said they store their Christmas wrapping paper in the space under the drawers. Mine is now stored there inside an old pillowcase. I'll just take the drawer out when I need to get to it. Please someone remind me in December, though! :o

Oooh, storing under drawers. That's a great idea! Thank you.:)

I haven't done much in the kitchen, apart from random swoops, but I was stunned that the pile of plastic carrier bags and the ones packed into the storage 'sausage' are now all samosa-ed and sitting, filed, in a little square box! :j

I've broken the back of the laundry, which makes me a bit more joyful and my general kitchen prep surface is remaining clear most of the time, and certainly not gathering clutter. :D

Uh, uh, maman, sounds like a bit of a cheat that MK would frown on! :D

My wrapping stuff has, finally, (after 26 years) moved from the LR to the [STRIKE]Room of Doom[/STRIKE] boxroom. The rolls stand in a waste-bin and all the pretties and cards are in a large, square Mr M's tapperware thingie. The R of D still needs to be kondoed! :o

Some people have stored wrappings in a zipped plastic dress cover, to hang in a wardrobe. Others have mounted a wire magazine file on the inside of a wardrobe/cupboard door for either wrapping paper rolls, or in the kitchen, for rolls of kitchen papers and foil. ;)

I had to take the book back to the library! I hadn't got anywhere near to finishing it (we are moving on Friday so packing has taken over everything!) - but instead of buying a copy, I bought a copy for my Kindle! One less thing to pack and I have the book with me wherever I go.

It's rubbing off on me though - I went shopping last weekend - usually I would have bought a couple of tops for work - but this time only one top I saw made me joyful - and I left it there, just to make sure! It was still there when I went back a few days later.

Can't wait to unpack in the new house having read a bit more of the book!

 Floss, please don't put your lead crystal glasses into the recycling. They can't go with glass recycling and will contaminate the cullet (broken glass) and cause problems. Lead crystal, window glass and Pyrex type glass can't be handled by glass recycling schemes.

I have a 22L really useful box which is the perfect length for gift wrap. I bought it in Rymans in the post Christmas sale a few years ago (they even threw in a few roles of clearance wrap). It means that our gift wrap can live in the attic with our Christmas docs, but doesn't get damaged or dusty.

Morning Konverts :D Raining here but we do need it so wont complain (much) ;)

Wrapping paper going to sound awful I kondoed the whole lot to a friend who teachers art and craft to kids :) I am NOT going to buy anything for anyone that needs wrapping ;) In fact I am going to try not to buy any gifts for anyone either :rotfl:I am going with food drink or money.Or if I can get away with it nothing. I hate trailing round the shops to try and find something they would like.

I am also NOT buying gifts for certain people this year that dont bring me joy as last year I had them returned to me as they didnt like the colour of one item and the other wasnt the one they wanted  Very bad mannered dont you think ? So I took them back from them kondoed them as I was so annoyed and just ignored it after that so they got sweet FA :rotfl::rotfl:

So from the start this year they will get nothing from me and I am not even going to waste my time explaining it ;)

I did manage to get some pretty awful cards from a bootsale about 50 of them for a £1 so will be sending them for their Birthdays one of which is next week ;) So a 2p card is all those ungrateful idiots will be getting from me. ;)Do I care nope I sure dont.I am a great believer in you reep what you sow :) and will stand by that 100% :D

Right I need your help on this one -Handbags how many have you got and where do you store them ? I treated myself last year to a £160 leather bag and guess what I dont even like it let alone love it :( Its too big and hurts my back its also a pain to open as you have to undo 2 straps and the strap is too long and hangs to low when its on your shoulder.

What should I do its the money thing again it cost so much for me.But cant see myself ever using it again.Unless I use it as a swimming/gym bag might get a bit of use out of it then but I still dont love it :(
