Hi Tea Lady!I'm no where near finished (except for, I think, clothing) but it's made a huge difference already. I'm sleeping better, less stressed, less irritable. I haven't stopped stocking up but I've almost stopped over-stocking - eg, yesterday I saw cheese at half price. Normally I'd have used that as an excuse to buy two but realised that I don't eat it often enough for it to be worthwhile. So the second one went back on the shelf. Not a big thing in itself but indicative of a change of mindset that I feel will help me on my journey to saving money and becoming debt free!
I've also started taking care of myself better. Last week I gave myself a home facial. My skin and my mood are much better for it. When I'm hanging out the washing it's no longer a race to get it on the line as fast as possible. I'm enjoying the process for itself. Do you think Kondoing is a mindfulness practice? It seems to be going that way for me.

Today - Kondoed a beautiful shirt (which never sat right on me) and a pair of trousers I love but with a burst zip that I know in my heart won't get repaired

Has anyone else noticed the similarity to MK and William Morris - have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful?

Gq I have a bag of the kibble you mention.
I've just returned home from the rellies new flat. I've been helping to move The person I care for. I have been staying with them until stuff gets sorted and they adjust to new surroundings. There's lots of thes flanges rivers and mystery kibble. I'm too scary cat to kondo it
I suspect one or two are stablizers for long gone washing machines.
They certainly are a ' Konundrum' see what I did there?
The no wifi so haven't been able to catch up much the 3G wasn't good. I have been able to practise the art of kondoing and amazed, delighted and impressed my rellie. I nervously opened my front door tonight after leaving my sons in the flat. Wow what a surprise the flat is not bad at all. Kondoing has certainly rubbed off somewhat. Right now with my life back a hot soapy bath and archers catch up.
I'm glad Gary is having a well deserved rest GQ. Daisy sounds a great stand in.
I prefer a 'brisk' towel as well. I don't use fab con I'm sure it ruins washers mine is very elderly and makes it smell and clog up. I use a splash of white vinegar in the fab con drawer with a cap of zoflora. No clogged drawers for me thanks. oh missus! I do like my drawers lined tho tee hee:rotfl:

Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Car Insurance Carver! Debt-free and Proud!
Have enjoyed a few days off work and have kondoes:
30 year old kitchen scales, much loved and responsible for many culinary successes and disasters. Goodbye. Use electric ones now.
4 old tops with bleach marks
    pair of torn trousers

Small steps but significant for me who would once have kept them incase!!

Hope to just quietly see things and if finished with dispose of them, steadily quietly so DH is blissfully unaware.

On the flip side DS1 has moved house and DH has introduced to our yard and sheds 6 large trailer loads of his stuff (scrap) which must be kept forever as it is all useful. Kondo outside will have to wait until am a widow, however it will help pass the time as I grieve!!!:rotfl: I like him really. Just sick of his magpie habits.

Went to visit a rellie at the weekend who is looking to downsize and was asked if I wanted anything from their home. I didn't even look at anything so couldn't be tempted however did bring home some brand new clothes given to me by another rellie as they fill some gaps in my post Kondo wardrobe (although they have actually been put in the empty drawer!). I have not kept any which do not spark joy or those which do not fit.

Kondo plan over the next few days is to finish preparing paperwork so accountant friend can do tax return, then sort out another box file and a further pile on my desk. Then I can start on a couple of cardboard boxes from the floor next week.

Cleared all the weeds I could, filled the garden bin and add to the weed pile in the garden, filled all the birdbaths and feeders as they were empty.
Going to get ready for work now.

Just to let you know, fellow Konverts, that I have not fallen off the wagon! Rather, I have climbed on, more firmly...

After a couple of false starts this year, at the weekend, I kondoed my 50+ year addiction cigarettes! :j

I have kicked the habit several times in the past, from a few days, to several years. Now, I see cigarettes as a no longer required crutch.

Just one problem... writing/typing apparently demands a steady input of nicotine. So, for the the next few days or so, I shall be reading all the inspirational posts here, but may have to avoiding respondiing! :o
    Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j
    No debts.

Well done you! Keep it up you can do it!
You're right in thinking it as an addiction. I read you are fighting off at least 40 chemicals aside the nicotine.
    One being formaldehyde:eek:
There's someone close to me that smokes I wish they would give them up. It can't be easy you have our full support.
