Busy day so no chance to Kondo. But have remained vigilant: groceries are what's needed and no extra; car boot sale - bought two items - both useful and made me smile; back home again and putting out/taking in laundry - each load checked and if it fails the MK test - straight to the donation bag! Hoping to Kondo some paperwork later - will move the shredder to the livingroom so I can Kondo my hard drive at the same time! LOL
    Looking ahead

I have has no time to Kondo today and I have missed it.

I keep pausing in my Kondoed bedroom and bathroom and just enjoy the peace. It's crazy really because it was very tidy before and everything was put away. I just KNEW the cupboard was full of carp and the drawer was packed full of things I can't wear and wouldn't have wanted to if I could.

    Tomorrow is towels and linens!

Instead of a bit of jewellery or something equally nice, equally expensive and equally not needed DH is sorting out the wardrobe as a 30th wedding anniversary treat :T
He started the job just before baby #3 was born and got the sliding doors on just in time for the planned homebirth. Unfortunately, life got in the way, baby #3 is now 25 but the wardrobe never quite got finished - now it will be _party_

New flat-pack chest of drawers is in place and by the end of the week I'll have a tweaked bookcase as shoe rack/handbag/ hats etc store instead of the annoying hanging shelf thing.... and there'll be knobs on the overhead cupboard doors. We'll have places for all our re-kondo'd clothes and accessories.
    Excited!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

DH and I kondo'd his clothes again !yesterday.:D What a happy joyful time I had ;) Not sure about him :o He has 5 shelves in the wardrobe and 3 of them are now empty oh happy days:)
He found things that he forgot he had and also yesterday he said to me I have a bag of paperwork(to do with work) that I have kondo'd  Yes he said kondo'd  He did laugh as he said it :D Paperwork has all been burnt and has gone.So a very good start to the week.

Today I am going to do some ironing what an exciting life I lead. As that has now built up to a level where I feel I can be bothered to get the iron and ironing board out :rotfl:

Will also cast a beady eye over my clothes again as I am putting it away and see what else is not bringing joy.

I will also enjoy the sun going to be hot in my neck of the woods this week so beach trip to be done at some point :)

    Have a lovely day everyone

Hi all, going to start properly with the kondoing today, I started DS1's clothes a few weeks ago. Need to do DS2's and all their toys, bedding, cuddly toys etc. Hubby is going to help so hopefully we should get their room done today. Will report back later, to let you know how we've got on.

    Morning, Konverts! :j

I spent the weekend 'kondoing' some of my wool stash, into a crocheted rainbow baby blanket which brought me joy... and pain! After making great headway on Saturday, yesterday I discovered that I was 2 stitches out and had to frog it back to almost the beginning! By bedtime last night, I was nearly blind, :rotfl: and 2 rounds further on than Saturday!

I actually managed avoid booting the computer for both days! Well, till just before bed last night, when I caught up with the posts on here. Everyone has been doing brilliantly! It really fired me up for today. Thank you, all! You are so inspiring! :T

Just heard a programme, where Eastern Philosophy was being discussed, and a bit of Kondo came through! Apparently, in the search for Happiness, we change ourselves, which in turn changes other people! Some of us have seen this in practice - especially those with OHs and Dc. Joy, oh joy! :D

I'm now going to pay my car tax and water bill, then it's full-on kondoing, - starting with yet another go at clothes, and another weeding of bedding. Still have far too much, so I've got my Really Ruthless Hat on. What's the worst that can happen? Not much, tbh. As long as we have a roof, enough clothes to cover our nakedness, and food to eat, we can still be happy - if we choose to be!

Hope your day will be full of Joy! :)

:) Been to work and also kondo'd the spare telephone to a chazzer which does electricals, two books back to the library and the recycling out.

I am in process of turning part of the donated yarn stash, which is 1-ply stuff on cones, into balls. To make it easier to knit from and to also reduce the space it takes up, plenty of fresh air in those cones. Pleased to say that I finished winding off one of those cones (4 remaining) this morning whilst reading on the web. When you have a distraction it all seems less tedious.

I also wore a very lightweight summery top which hasn't seen daylight for a year or more and it was joyful. It's quite thin cotton, so won't last forever, but it can be enjoyed whilst I have it; chazzer purchase for not a lot.

Is anyone else finding that as they get rid of stuff, they perversely feel richer, as you can see and enjoy more of what you own? Less truly is more.:rotfl:

My Kondoing has been on hold for quite a time, as I have had a lot of garden work to do as well as lots of stuff out of the house. This morning the warm weather forced me to start my 'T' shirt drawer, it contained all long sleeved tops, with all the summer ones stashed in a crate in the room of doom. A pow-wow with OH then resulted in plans being changed, my bed is covered with summer clothes all waiting to be folded or hung before I can crawl into it:( After a whole very tiring day working outside, it will be stacked in empty laundry basket and phase 2 will commence tomorrow morning:(

Several things put into CS pile:(:D Lots of trying on to be done and then big decisions to be made, I have been/am poorly and lost weight and inches without trying, I was happy with my previous weight (8st 12 and 5ft 4), so if things give me joy I my well hang on to quite a lot in case I gain a few pounds back again, assuming the docs can sort me out.
