Im not sure but I think it was grey queen who first mentioned the fruit containers. I had been using them for a while though. They sure are great for storage.
There is a shoe shop near us they are leaving shoeboxes at the back of the shop for folks to take:jog good for them. I have no stuff now to put in them...that's a good thing right?
    Have a great day all

Wilkos are selling white flannels for30p so I nabbed a few. I use a large flannel to dry myself before using a bath towel to save it getting soaked. We live in a flat and getting them dry is a pain. Doesn't help the condensation either...it's just getting my sons On board with this though:(
Perhaps I should try some of the tricks on here. (Looks deviously up at the ceiling)

i find putting stuff in beds focusses the mind too :rotfl:

:rotfl: that's just what I do , when they leave dirty dishes and don't wash them , I put them in the bed , shoes , clothes and it's a nuisance for them so now I just need to threaten it :D

I really want to kondo DHs wardrobe and drawers they are rammed , I keep asking but he won't let me , he is a real hoarder and I think he panics at the thought , but he can never find anything and when he does it needs flipping ironing again , I don't know how to get round it , I know he would be happier with everything neat and tidy

Could you just do one category? i did that with DD's cuddlies - she was panicky at first but, after assurance that i wouldn't remove anything she didn't want to (even if that meant keeping everything) then she happily sorted through and happily got rid of half. She had a cooling off period of a week or so - but was totally ok with letting stuff go.

In fact her friend's mum wants her to sort cuddlies - and DD is telling her friend it's OK and "gives the others freedom" :T

Just done my "non posh" glasses cupboard.

I am learning cos i was putting glasses away and, on realising there wasn't really space in the cupboard for them all, I have decided to Kondo - previously i would have crammed them in another cupboard.

(she really is clever when she says that the categories show themselves)

I filled a bowl with soapy water and have washed them all - and reorganised the cupboard. Amazingly i have only discarded four - one irish whisky glass (seriously? why on earth do i have one of those? it's a bit like the lime zester - which i still have btw, i like the reminder :rotfl:) and three dessert glasses.

If you come here for dinner, dessert is usually something in a bowl - i am not the layered dessert in a nice glass kind of hostess. If something individual is served, then i like a tea cup and saucer - think chocolate mousse or syllabub in a cup, with a biscuit / shortbread on the side.

Additionally I have removed wine glasses from the everyday glass cupboard. I don't drink wine everyday (honest guv), so they don't need to be there. This has freed up enough space to put all the glasses in one cupboard. They are a bit of a motley collection, it must be said - old nutella jars, a free coke glass from McD's, you get the picture - but they are functional and break easily so i will go with them. I have a lot of glasses

On reflection - i think the three plastic champagne glasses can go .....

    Morning all
Just kondoed the front hedge of excess growth and the garden of more weeds so have almost filled the wheelie bin. I do neighbours side as well cos we planted it but I put hers in her bin as they aren't being emptied for another week and didn't want to cram mine just incase.
Also kondoed a spare grab hand that had lost its strap - not sure why I had 3 anyway.

But are they giving you joy :naughty:.

I rest my case :D. Am sure there's no need for the Nutella jars ;).

The ones that are giving joy are the ones we aquired on holiday and any that don't have dishwasher staining.

I quite like the nutella jars - they are quirky. And not dishwasher stained.

    I'll be over about 7:30! OK? ;)

I LOVE my nutella glasses - they remind me of when the children were at home - I would occasionally buy a jar as treat. And we had a set of matching glasses... eventually!

Phoned the council this morning about recycling CDs - have boxes of them from teaching... they didn't know that they can be 100% recycled! They are going to investigate. Also, got another Konvert - the staff member that I spoke to! Also, my Consultant, yesterday. Perhaps, MK should be paying me commission? :rotfl:
