Thought I'd just check in despite not much being done at our house. I'm a bit mad with the girls who, because of the new space think they can dump things rather than put them away. They were warned that I WILL just bin it as they obviously don't want/need it and all cups, plates will be dumped in their rooms (in a tub) ... Do I sound harsh? They have not responded to 'soft' measures so feel I have to try something else.
Will be sending off my ebay today so a bit more space (and cash)One woman I know inherited a household of boys and youths when she re-married and kept control of the crockery issue by only having one plate, bowl, mug and glass per person out. The rest were under lock and key.
It meant that if you left your stuff festering upstairs, you didn't get to eat. Worked well. I have also heard of parents rounding up belongings which have been repeatedly strewn about and throwing them away (hiding them in the loft, in binbags, mostly) to focus thoughts on tidiness. HTH.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Blue sky showing, but the sun is hiding behind cumulonimbus for the moment.
Just had quote for my car repair - a quarter of what I have saved up! The MK factor is syill attracting joy to my life! I shall be able to buy my wool combs, as soon as I have cleared enough space to use my spinning wheel! Loving Life! :j
I've had my car since it was 2 years old (it's now 18), and I love it dearly (like a child - but neglected!) I thank it regularly, definitely woo! :rotfl:
[The rear-view mirror fell off as I drove to the MOT! BUT, I was told that legally we only need 2 working mirrors! Great for me - but no good for Meatloaf! :rotfl:]Needs, NOT wants!

Is anyone else having problems with this forum?
For the past couple of days, I have been getting 'timed out' messages when posting, or clicking 'Thanks'.
Is it anything to do with the 'New Look forum' which I haven't looked at yet?Needs, NOT wants!

Decided to search the forum for some geek comments on this!
Typed 'timed out', clicked Search and got 'timed out, try again'!
Tried agin and got: This forum requires that you wait 15 seconds between searches. Please try again in 14 seconds.
So, it looks like MSE are trying to push us onto the 'new'look forum', maybe? Or they've messed the old format up!Needs, NOT wants!

Problems with old MSE format?
Here is the feedback address, if anyone else is having problems: forumfeedback@moneysavingexpert.com
I have just read up about the 'new look forum'.
Apparently, 'old' members can stay with the old format, which is not being closed down and will continue to be supported. I understand that Newbies will automatically be assigned to the new format.
We, 'oldies' can try the new look, but return to the old format, if we choose.
The new look forum will probably work better for other access tools - modern phones, tablets etc.
If anyone gets the 'timed out' message:
Click the 'Back' button and just re-click Submit for posts, or the Thanks, etc button. You should not lose your post on a laptop/desk top. Dunno about other machines or Wi-Fi.Needs, NOT wants!

For what it is worth the new look forum is totally useless on a smart phone or tablet - they seem to have tried for style over content (and didn't even get there with style!)
Trying to Kondo some weight that decided to hurtle on  Clothes however are still nice and tidy and only ones I would wear :j:j:j, I do need to start going through the mass of cookery books though (but most of them spark joy aaaargh!)Must use my stash up!0 -

I think Jinny was the first to use fruit (grape) punnets which is where I pinched it from. Today I washed up a slightly chipped around the top plastic food box and kept it just in case it will be useful for storage. At the end of kondoing if it hasn't been used it will be recycled. I have put it to one side so it doesn't get put away with the others.
Still very slow here with only a couple of things a day leaving my home. At this rate, it will take a million years to fully Kondo my home. I may be able to have a blitz this weekend if I can get on top of other things over the next few days.
Great news on the car iQueen.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0
