... :rotfl:I loved Habitat it was like wandering round green with envy looking at all these posh designer things that you could never afford (well I couldnt in those days) and buying something really small when you really wanted one of their sofas
...
When I was 11 in 1975 we moved to a new-build house in a new town... that Christmas I got some floor cushions from Tabbycat (my dad's name for it!) in brown. I had really wanted a beanbag but I think they were too expensive at the time, they lasted forever, and I got told to take with me when I married in 1984, when they perfectly complemented our shiny new 1980's red metal & brown fabric sofa!! :eek:2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

For those that have old wedding/bridesmaid/prom dresses they no longer want - there is a wonderful charity that asks for these so that they can remake them into burial gowns for stillborn babies. They also ask for donations of ribbon etc as well if anyone has a stash.

What a lovely idea - i have contacted them to see if they would like my wedding dress.
it has sat in the loft for 24 years so i hope it hasn't died in storage.
i can't think of a better use for it - sad to have to do it, but i would be honoured if they would take it.
i always rather wished i had hired my dress, for all it's done since.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

Ooo! You've just reminded me, my H floor cushion is buried in the Room of Doom. I made a cover for it - psychadelic flowers! The cover went threadbare, so it was 'stored'! Can't wait to find it again! But I doubt it'll be used on the floor, because I'd never be able to get up again! :rotfl:
The jumble clothes and komono have left my possession - I even found some more komono to go with the sorted stuff. :T
I did have a quick sort through the clothes and fished out the good stuff, some BN with tags, for the Charity Shop. They will get a better price than the jumble sale will ask. And no, I will not be attending the JS!
Car failed MOT, (as expected), it doesn't look as though it will cost too much to get it through. Phew!Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

Morning all
Hope everyone is well
Love the towel talk, had to read back a bit to find out why someone had a towel called Gary, LOL
Kondoed a framed cross stitch I'd done to its ne owner last night so that's something off the table and two sheets of wrapping paper from the stash.
Crocheted 25 25grm balls into squares over the weekend and am now using up some of a huge ball to edge them and put them together, it will then be kondoed to a friend who's doing a raffle for a cancer charity (a bottle of perfume will also be kondoed her way)
Been doing exa hours at work so again not too much time for real konding but I intend to catch up.
I did accidentally kondo my Dhs fave mug yesterday, I was washing up and it slipped.:o of all the mugs in the cupboard it had to be his hammer time one that DD1 got him for last Father's Day. He has got several other mugs so I think he'll survive but if one had to break I just wish it had been one of the others.
Have a great day all.SPC~12 ot 124

Thought I'd just check in despite not much being done at our house. I'm a bit mad with the girls who, because of the new space think they can dump things rather than put them away. They were warned that I WILL just bin it as they obviously don't want/need it and all cups, plates will be dumped in their rooms (in a tub) ... Do I sound harsh? They have not responded to 'soft' measures so feel I have to try something else.
Will be sending off my ebay today so a bit more space (and cash)Don’t put it down - put it away!
