DS' girlfriend's mother was telling me that her 2 other daughters are squabbling over the ali baba linen basket she was getting rid of. I remembered that I had one in the loft (wedding present 36 years ago) so I quickly kondoed that.
Mavvymoo it was really interesting meeting the founder of ronaldos (whose name is Simon) and we have chosen some lovely flavours for the wedding.0 -

Really glad you enjoyed it and now we need to know what flavours you chose ???? I love all I think apart from any with Coffee in yuk.Love Coffee as a drink but coffee cake or chocolate or ice cream its a no no for me.
I didnt have a Ronaldos Ice cream today as I did a 5 mile run and didnt fancy one after that. Find it hard to eat for ages before a run or after a run. Any other time is fine :rotfl:
Had a nice day today and very relaxed and calm just the way I like it.
Now watching my chickens tucking in to a fresh Watermelon which I got reduced to 50p and they love it they will even eat the skin :T I am not that keen on it only when its really hot and I am lazing on a beach it tastes ok then

Hello I am hoping some of you can help me to kondo my kids stuff. I have 3 under 8 of both genders so we have loads of lovely good quality toys, books and arts and crafts stuff. I have done well kondoing the whole house and I thought I'd done well with the children's things too but they still swamp the house. I never have the time to sit down and do the puzzles, playdoh or colouring with them because I have to tidy up the other things while they are busy doing those things for example. Trying to get them to put away their last plaything before the next activity doesn't work for me at the moment because they all need help doing it and the toddler can be tipping out something else while I'm helping another if you see what I mean. Any thoughts from you kondo experts would be great xx0

Back to work after a week off and I really miss the Kondoing time! Work was too hectic to do much except check out the thread at lunchtime and throw out a bottle of cola that went in the drawer three years ago!! Probably still safe to drink but I hadn't really liked it at the time (I bought two) and kept it "just in case" - now safely Kondoed.Looking ahead0

Ah Habitat that takes me back I too used to wander around the shop and come out with something small.
I bought something called a chicken brick once it was never used just for decoration!
I think towels were made of sturdier stuff back in the day.
My uncle Bob was a miner and when I got engaged in 1972 he bought me two new bath towels from the pit he worked at. £1 each... at least I hope he bought them:rotfl:
They are still going strong I was thrilled they were orange and brown the in colours of the time.
white bedding here too but navy for the boys
I use only white crockery as well so they match. I buy matalan brilliant white as there are different shades of white.
I stick to 4 colours in my wardrobe as well much easier. Like steve jobs I have a "uniform" in basic capsule shapes with scarves in bright shades of the basic 4 colours. Pink, lavender, black and white.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

I have 3 under 5 and several 10+... tidy up time before lunch and dinner and bed.. everyone helps.. have races, do it against a timer, each pick a colour and see who wins etc.
They have tidy up time at school and nursery so no reason to not implement it at home.
I'm flinging to find space to sort the toys.. I hate toys with much passion!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi pennies
pigpen is right they wouldnt be allowed to tip stuff out at nursery
I had a one that was fidgety and couldnt sit still he had a bit of a time when at story time. I had two that were and still are completely different natures There was some discussion a bit back on this. Too many toys out at once isnt good for them. Its never easy but im sure your doing fine. Ask at the nursery im sure they would be only to glad to advise.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Later on I will try to post a picture of my kondoed white bedroom with it's white bedlinen. So peaceful - aiming to get the rest o f the house to that stage!
Paid work today, so probably minimal Kondoing untill later. But DH has taken a bag to the CS this morning, and I think I am going to tackly some kitchen cupboards later this afternoon.
I would love to see that Sushi, I did change mine to a white duvet last night that normally sits at the bottom of my ottomon whilst I just swap the top too around! Have Kmd a few now.
I am also going to paint my pine furniture white and maybe decoupage a few flowers or something on them (well hopefully anyway if it turns out alright)MFW 16 No 33

I loved Habitat it was like wandering round green with envy looking at all these posh designer things that you could never afford (well I couldnt in those days) and buying something really small when you really wanted one of their sofas
Gym and run for me today the sun is shining and its going to be a lovely day.
Mav x
Many moons ago we lived in South Humberside and bought 2 sofas and an armchair from Habitat in Hull. The furniture came with patterns to make loose covers, which I made two lots of out of Laura Ashley sale upholstery fabric. DD1 had 1 of the sofas,so probably lasted about 20 years-not very comfy but looked good.
Sorry Mav was laughing as I read 'gym and run' as 'gin and rum'-doh.
Only kondoed paper and dirty washing today.
