I was amazed to discover ferreros are made with Nutella!
I have found myself when making a middle of the night insomnia cuppa teaspoon in hand with the jar of Nutella :o

Can't buy Nutella in this household as DH would attack it with a spoon until the jar was empty

Could you just do one category? i did that with DD's cuddlies - she was panicky at first but, after assurance that i wouldn't remove anything she didn't want to (even if that meant keeping everything) then she happily sorted through and happily got rid of half. She had a cooling off period of a week or so - but was totally ok with letting stuff go.

In fact her friend's mum wants her to sort cuddlies - and DD is telling her friend it's OK and "gives the others freedom" :T

I think he's seen me attacking cupboards and throwing out stuff with such gusto that he's in panic mode lol , I'm going to have to wait a while before I approach it again , but i think the one category at a time is a good one , maybe his sports stuff that he hasn't worn for years :T

I've kondoed a lovely jumper that I got in the sale , never worn and it still has tags on , DH is going eBay it . I love it but it's too small , I saved it in case I lost weight :o

Hi, been MIA for the last week or so, took me all of yesterday in between jobs to catch up with the thread!
Everyone is doing so well, I need to get going again. Have sorted and thrown all my old weekend bags and bought one North face bag that I have had on my wish list for ages:T Hopefully I will love it when it arrives. Funnily I had never used a set of 3 bags but have kept them for years dutifully taking them in and out of the one bag I do use! What was I thinking?
I do need to get the stuff from the hall out of the house, it is starting to take up residence and is wearing me down seeing it there.
So today, remove sorted items, tackle blankets ( which I am sure I promised I was doing about a fortnight ago) and then cables. If I achieve that I will be happy:)
  • Slow progress here. I have been away or had guest staying for most of the time since I last posted.

I did manage to get three bags for the charity collection on Monday for stuff I had sorted and with a quick dash round for other stuff before I could change my mind. This included unworn clothes and shoes, books and 40 year old wedding presents.

Hopefully today I can get help to take unwanted but working kitchen electrical items to a place that takes them.

I found four large bags of individual black socks (at least 150) belonging to three people. I was tempted to bin them all but I know that some were only worn once or twice. I have presorted into styles and will pick out the best to keep and bin the rest together with some that are currently on their last legs. I need good light these days to match them up.

I am now into my 4th month of this project and have no realistic hope of finishing before Christmas, especially with my youngest's job finishing in two months and the prospect of her returning home with the contents of a two bedroomed flat.

Well done to all those who are close to achieving the goal and good wishes to those who are finding it hard going.
