    Hi all, just checking in.

Is it just me or do other people fall out of love with clothes? I am wearing a jumper that I kept because I used to wear it a lot and I thought it brought me joy. After having it on all day I have decided that I dont like it any more so it may have to go.

Waiting to see if cricket practice is cancelled. If it is I will do another box of papers.

I need OH to go through the dozen or so big, heavy reference books of his too. It can be hard to even to get him to look at things but I dont just want to put these back in the cupboard..

We have been out for the day so nothing done but I have had a cuppa and am going to finalise my book despatch. I did suggest to OH that he could look through the 2 bookcases and see if there were any of his to go. His reply was "I don't think so". I said it would take seconds to look through them so he did. I wasn't surprised that none were taken off the shelves.

YL I have kept several items of clothes that I loved and when I have worn them recently have brought me no joy at all. Having lost weight the bigger clothes, although only a couple of sizes, are now completely the wrong shape - stretched I suppose:(

One thing I do se could be annoying is the refusal of gifts - it's ok when the gift-giver is not around (I've put things straight in the CS bag before completely unwrapped) but when loved ones want to give us little things all the time, it does seem wrong not to accept, or to quickly discard.

I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but I'm finding I want less and less new things, even things I would have welcomed in the past.

:) Came home and took off again with the wally trolley loaded with two chazzer donation bags, dropped my prescription in en route, and picked up milk and veg with the trolley on the way back.

Isn't it pleasing to shed the stuff?

Don't let it get the upper hand (or the upper cut). Hiff it out of there and practise the selective amnesia which is essential to a well-ordered inner life. It didn't happen.

Well, been the dentist and none of any of our teeth had to be kondoed!

Although you probably can't tell if you came round we have been tidying and doing KD today. We do have two rubbish bags and one rubbish bag of paper to show for it. Two more things on ebay and more bits for car boot. A lot has been those 'bits and bats' that just seem to grow and grow. The washing basket has also filled up!

TBH i still have not started properly as we are still doing dd2 bedroom. She will now have drawers instead of a wardrobe in her box room. There is currently one clear shelf and not much to go back in. Hoping she can keep it tidy!

Each to their own I guess, but the method seems to work for a lot of people! I'm also finding that I just don't want the same amount of stuff around me. I used to love clothes and shoes shopping, particularly in the sales. I can't believe how many things I've discarded that didn't spark joy at all, I only bought them because they were cheap!

Although I still like a bargain, I will not be buying any more clothes just because they are reduced. I intend to only buy items that I really love. Why buy three jumpers at £10 each when I could spend the same £30 on one that will be joyful?!

I'm slowly getting there with my clothes and toiletries. Only 3 weeks now til my baby is due and I cannot wait to bin my maternity clothes. They no longer spark any joy but I'm not buying new ones for the sake of a few weeks!!

Yes YL I fall out of love with clothes.

Went a little off piste today and sorted out the basket of seeds, disarded loads, moved the ones I'm keeping to be with the other garden stuff in the garage. This has freed a shelf in the DR which can be used for the last of the paperwork, magazines I'm currently reading etc so drum roll the DR floor is almost clear for the first time in years, just a small pile of books to go through with DS3 tomorrow which will then be put in the cupboard if being kept. It looks really odd, I keep looking at the floor.

Just finished shredding, I've put 5 brown bags of paper and card out. 2 bags of plastic and cans and added to the Cs pile. The shelf that was annoying me early on is now neat and lots of stuff kondoed, I decided to go through my jewellery box, it's mostly costume stuff the only real jewellery I have are my wedding and engagement rings and they NEVER come off. Lots has been kondoed some to the CS most in the bin as its past it. While in the cupboard I came across something I can't even remember receiving and the irony of it will not be lost on most in here. But at some point in the past one of my five children has bought it for me as it still has the happy Mother's Day tag on, the box is slightly battered but luckily itself it is ok. I will be using it at the weekend.

    :rotfl::rotfl: Love it!!

I found some forgotten candles languishing in a drawer - I love the scent of them and they've infused the drawer contents with it, which is fab :) Have now removed them from drawer and will make sure to use them up in the darker Autumn months - as well as heavenly scents they are pretty to look at in the meantime. There really is no point in pretty candles melting in the sun and just being dust magnets, after all. Use them - as the advert says - we're worth it!:D
