I recycled mine to the local allotmenteers-they actually wanted them
LOVE your signature! :rotfl:
Towards the end of last year, I realised that I had never matured into an adult! (My poor children - raised by a child!)
Since beginning the MK process, I have found my Adult, but I haven't lost my youthful personality, thank goodness! :TNeeds, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

Thought I would come out of lurkdom, as my kondoing ability seems to be waning. I've had no interest in recent weeks to do any kondoing , although the areas I have done , namely my kitchen cupboards and my wardrobe and drawers are still tidy :j
I decided today to get cracking again and have started on the cupboard of doom in the dining room, it houses years of DHs 'stuff' work , memorabilia ,a thousand wires for goodness knows what and all the important stuff needed re pensions, policy's etc. so far I have filled 3 black sacks of shredded documents, self recorded episodes of Star Trek videos ( we don't even have a video recorder anymore)and lots of other stuff and I've only done the bottom shelf, still 50% kondoed :j. I must be grateful he's let me do it as he wont let me near his wardrobe and bulging socks and pants drawer lol...... Yet0 -

It definitely should be a great discussion - especially if there are a few 'I don't have a problem' readers.
I had a smug friend like that, and when I was invited to stay with her, I found that she was kidding herself! The place was full of clutter, she slept in a recliner, her bedroom had been made usable (for me) by her daughter, the spare room was full of boxes of Stuff, and there was no clear space in the kitchen! :rotfl:
I bet you will have a crowd of Konverts! :TEveryone is doing so well:)
I have been going great guns, did quite a bit yesterday but am feeling really deflated, things seem to be going backwards. I am getting fed up of some categories still being in progress, they should be finished, I can't keep trying, it should have clicked by now, it is wearing me out, I spent quite a while in the kitchen yesterday, most areas are done, haven't tackled spices and drinks, but visually it should look great, but something's not right:(
Cheer up, cpt, just do the best you can with each category on the list, to get to the 'end'. You can fine-tune the categories/areas that don't feel right, when most of the excess is out, and you have a clearer vision of what you want!
Well, after 2 days of trying to deal with a 2 year-old threatening situation, I went into complete melt-down yesterday, even tears. My new Happiness disappeared behind a massive black cloud!
I fought back like the she-bear that's in me, (somewhere!) I was on an evenish keel by mid-afternoon and kind to myself for the rest of day.
Today, I may do a little kondoing, to keep my mind off other things, and to re-stock on Joy! :j
Oh, definitely use orphaned socks, as disposable gloves/footwear for dirty work!Needs, NOT wants!

Aww, Iqueen hope things sort themselves out, these things do sometimes knock you for six. Sounds like you are in a much better place emotionally though if you were able to reclaim some equilibrium so quickly.
Think you are right, I will keep going till I reach the end and then tweak as necessary:)0 -

I have already kondoed most of my bank stuff(Shredded/recycled/ burned) so I will just have to live with what I have done...it makes life easier anyway and saves me worrying about reclaiming in the future! !It is only money(ahem,I can ill afford to lose any however) and I am now enjoying a lighter life and systems as others are finding, knowing where everything of importance is.
Shame about any money I will be missing out on.
Just posting this so that it may help some people decide on how much paper to keep.
Thanks, food for thought.
I have never had loan protection so not worried about that. Flight delays, yeah there may have been the odd one over the years, nothing drastic that I remember or am going to stress about claiming for, it's gone.
I've kept P60s rather than the whole year of payslips for a job with no pension. I guess it is all a personal call and we never know whta will come up in the future. Good idea to save some digitally, we could scan/photograph things we thought could be of use.
Lost the urge to Kondo paperwork now!
Going to sort and clear what is on the table though. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Afternoon all
I kondoed a bin full of weeds from the front garden this morning while DH was out kondoing a pint of blood. I've got tingly hands now as I had a major battle with a group of stinging nettles and they were winning for a while but I persevered and onto them out roots and all.
Found another card making die it thing I'd won and gave that to a neighbour, she is really pleased to be benifiting from my clear outs.
Took 4 bags of mils clothes down to the clothes bank that she asked me to get rid of for her.
Glass went to the bottle bank while I was down there.
Going to deal with a couple of letters now then try and use up some more wool and make leaves for the school tree.SPC~12 ot 124

Have done 2 tip runs- 2 old mattresses, 8 bags of clothes mostly DD3 and OH. They are coming on board!!! Also load of old wood from somewhere OH had found plus lots of cardboard.
DD2 is up in her sisters room now whilst she is out sorting it a bit. There will be fireworks when she returns but I have recovered towels, crockery and cutlery so don't care. She has been told that if she doesn't bring them down herself we will!
Back to work. Keep up the great work everyone!De cluttering Konvert.Getting there
