:) Well, it was fast and easy to roll the mircofibre cloths (gosh, how I love microfibre cloths) and I now feel in command of the Ranger Roll, lol. They're now such cute little sausage rolls, all different colours.

I'm very pleased at how well the tidying of the undersink cupboard is going, as it degenerates into a hell-hole at the drop of a hat. Going forward, I am hoping to be able to remove cloths and other items for use in a hurry without disarranging their neighbours.

Am cooling down after a lovely bath and hairwash, having given the bathroom a thorough clean. It's part of my Sunday ritual, I detest a bath on a weekday (shower instead) as I like to chillax afterwards.

In the dark hours of the night, I had a Plastic Bag Insufficiency Anxiety Attack. Because I gave a whole lot away to a chazzer last week. Then I told myself to woman-up. I have about 10 lining the kitchen bin (plant bucket from Morries) and use one a week. I have a couple of extra-strong bags which live in my work bag, plus one which lives in my handbag. I have about 20 samosa'd in the cupboard, and a strong one put aside to load the next lot of chazzer donations into.

:o Is anyone else on here attracted to minimalism but anxious about not having Enough? And anyone else getting twitchy fingers looking for something else to fold or roll?

:T Oh wow, I've just learned to Ranger Roll and have done one of my microfibre cloths, reducing the space it takes up by 50%. What a find. I shall now go off and roll something else. Thanks for that linkie.

I have read all the way through this thread and I love it!

I have kondoed my tops drawer, which holds t-shirts, blouses shirts and all sorts which don't really belong in there, what a mess when I started. So now it is lovely and tidy, two bags of rubbish tops that have seen better days and lo and behold my long lost scarf that I have been looking for for ages, buried at the bottom of the drawer. Now I can see what I have and rediscovered some long forgotten tops that were at the bottom of the piles, so now I can wear them again and don't need to worry about buying any more for a while.

I am about to do a tea towel in a ranger roll and see how much room it takes up in the drawer with the aim of converting my mum who does all of the washing in this house and maybe make some space in a drawer that is always full! wish me luck as she may not like it, she takes a new tea towel and dishcloth from it each day so there will be no hiding place for the little roll I intend to stash in there. Lol :)
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post

Hi everyone, I thought I would help out get this thread organised so I've started to go through it from the first post and I've created a pintrest board with all the links in this thread. I have got to #150. I will carry on this afternoon.

It means that you have one place to go to for all the video links rather than trying to search through the thread. I can also give people rights to post links onto the thread so Jinny and VfM4meplseI can add you both.

Here is the Link: MSE KonMarie Pintrest Board

    Good idea?

    Thank you.

    I've only just discovered pinterest.
  • Greyqueen - I'm loving the thought of less stuff, and itching to fold and roll!!!

I declutered a butterdish that didn;t give anyone any joy....it was awkward and badly designed and not fit for purpose and in a fit of pique I lobbed it and dumper the butter into a lock & lock tub where it fits perfectly and it works much better. I was planning, originally, to buy a different butter dish but I think I may just keep it to the simple lock & lock!!!

Just been catching up on the thread. I love the enthusiasm. I never thought tidying up would give me such a thrill.

I'm enjoying reading everyone's progress and a big thank you to everyone who has posted links and shared tips.

Once I've walked the dog and done my food shopping I'm going to try ranger rolling. The cupboard under the sink is on my hit list today too - I hate it.

Not had a chance to read all the 150+ posts added since I last looked, but it seems that it's not just me seduced by this idea. The happiness, focus and time it has created in my life has been incredible!

Been tied up since with work and social life since I last posted....but eventually found time to chat to my mum on the phone late yesterday evening. She mentioned nothing so after 50 mins I ended up asked her how she found her knickers...? She answered with great enthusiasm that she loved them, and she will be doing the same in future! My response? "READ THE BOOK!" (it remained by her bed untouched on Wednesday, my next reminder will be to read this thread :D).
Ok, so the kidder thinks ive lost the plot altogether now. She walked in on me folding Asda carrier bags into neat little triangles and had the phone in her hand ready to have me sectioned :rotfl:
Anyway, my 400-odd carrier bags (i know, i know, can we say, "plastic bag obsession") are now whittled down to 20 neat little triangles that can share a drawer with my sushi-rolled tea towels :j
Was getting withdrawal symptoms late last night so tackled the massive pile of plastic bags under the sink, it looks like many of us across the country have had the same idea! Rubber bands are v helpful with the sushi roll process, have grouped the various ones together (eg bags for life, thin bags for lining bins, department store bags for shopping, small bags to hold fruit and stick in my handbag etc). Paper bags and plastic bags with holes have gone straight in the recycling. 300+ bags fit into a bag the size of a normal carrier bag, they are easily accessible and I shall make an effort to grab a few before I go shopping to make best use of them now.

When I kondoed my underwear, I found good bras with missing/broken wires. Just received new wires from Vena Cava who supply bra-making materials! 99p per pair and good p&p.

Later, this afternoon I will adding £160 of reclaimed bras to their kondo drawer! :money:
I had no idea reparation is possible! For those of us not quite so handy, it's worth donating our worn / unusable / unjoyful (is that even a word??!) bras here.
