The house also looks a tip as I keep finding bits that don't have a 'proper' home yet but will do eventually. This is a consequence of just shoving stuff in any drawer/cupboard/bag at hand - so there is make up in the re ktichen, tools in the bathroom and lord knows what in my desk drawers. Getting there slowly.
Sounds like my house! Not much (noticeable) change from when I started kondoing! But, my small victories are keeping me motivated and the clutter is 'doing my head in'! :TJinny - towards the beginning of all this you recommended adding bicarb or was it baking soda to revitalise a white wash. So many posts to go back through - could you tell me again please?
Bicarbonate of Soda (US - Baking Soda). Larger quantities, for cleaning, are cheaper on eBay.Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

I'm getting the post from them (forwarded) I'm just having problems working out how to get my change of address to them
However, it has occurred to me that I can probably find an address for the trustees, so can always write there. I suspect there is probably a website I should be using
The pension tracing service provide the pension trustees contact address. My private pension scheme had changed hands many times because the company pension scheme closed.
I have moved several times since I worked for that comany over 30 years ago.
They have records of all pension schemes ever set up.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

yes its bicarb of soda
4 tablespoons in with your usual laundry gel along with the washing in the drum. Or if using powder that of course goes in the drawer.
then a slosh of white vinegar in the fab conditioner drawer
don't use fab con with this method. In fact I never use fab con it clogs up the machine and im conviced coloured fab con tints your whites even the white or blue stuff.
you can put cheapo wilkos essential oil just a couple of drops in with the white vinegar. Its not needed tho the vinegar doesnt make you laundry smell.
Do not use bi carb on coloured clothes especially black it fades
them
Our poundland sells boxes of bicarb beside the cleaning stuff
I get a big box from amazon lasts ages. Its for external though and not for cooking.
a you toober called do it on a dime has a video on this method”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Just finished listening to the archers omnibus
normally have this dusted on Sundays but been busy.
They had a jumble sale in the village. David had second thoughts about donating a toy farm given to him by his Dad. So he ran around with his mother like a headless chicken getting it back
I hope anyone kondoing doesnt get put off by him.
I know it sparked joy and it was sentimental. However there were parts missing and he is a grown man!
It has made him change his mind about selling the family farm tho
He's in double jepardy.....telling ruth and bringing Komono back into the house! Lol”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Hi everyone,
I have a request - if any of you have any old-fashioned crochet doilies that you want to kondo, please could you pm me. I am looking for them to make table runners for dd's wedding. I would happily pay postage and packing.0 -
Bygorry, something is happening at the parental hoarded house; my much hoarded-upon Dad is on the warpath, in his gentle way, against Clutter.
Today, their car has done a run to the tip with various defunct electronics and bits of metal, plus an unwanted electronic has been donated to a chazzer which accepts electricals.
I will wait developments with breathless excitement; he says he's 73 and doesn't want all this Stuff. Unfortunately, Mum's a hoarder and 99% of it is hers........interesting times. I love it that people you've known all your life can still surprise you.:rotfl:
Today I went to work and came home again. Various items of flytipping which I reported late last evening via email have been picked up, so my neighbourhood is looking a lot less rubbishy than it did when I went to work.
All I have to do now is sort out the inside of the homestead. Cover me, ladies, I'm going in. Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
