I've had one of those days, I didn't get up to see my DH off to work as I slept in late, I hit my head on the kitchen cupboard door etc...:(

I started listening to a man on Youtube talking about decluttering while I put away my clean laundry in a Kondo way and found it quite calming.:D

Now I have weeded out my wardrobe and put all my jewellery in clear boxes in my wardrobe and it is so much easier to get dressed in the morning. The jewellery was in wooden boxes which I liked but it was impractical but I do think the boxes are pretty so I'm using them to store my mobile charger and kindle cable instead.

I'm looking around my house and wondering how I had so much stuff before. There must have just been drawers full of carp that I never used.

I had the most horrendous cold I had crawled in from working my last day.
There was dishes piled up from the day before as I really wasn't too well
He said "Go on make yourself a hot drink and do the dishes when you feel better"!!!!!!!!!!
    WELL RID/KONDOED!!!!!!!

He sounded like a right charmer!

Oh dear, that did make me laugh. My OH had a moan this morning as I asked him if he could post 2 important letters today, either on the way to work or on the way home, as I don't feel up to going out. He said he already had his hospital appointment to go to before work and how much more was I going to ask him to do!!!! His hospital appointment is just a regular checkup thing that will take all of 10 mins! Men just don't have the ability to multi task, do they?:rotfl:

Just think we are all going to have the most lovely spring and summer this year. Even just sitting the garden.
Free to be ourselves and not slaves to managing our stuff
How can anyone really enjoy a lovely day knowing there's
A pile of carp clogging up our lives and minds.

Hi there. I'm still here - not managed much Kondoing this week but hopefully can get stuck in over the next few days.

    I need a Kondo fix........:D

Today I am going to Kondo my house plants. They are looking a little unloved, so will repot them all. Hopefully some fresh compost will revive them. I repotted two small Christmas trees the other day Nd they seem happier. I also found some spring bulbs lurking in a cupboard do will pot them up. It's. Bit late of course but Hopefully they will still flower.

I agree I am looking forward to summer this year, everything will be ship shape and tidy. I am so looking forward to my new clutter free and simple organised new life.

  • New to the thread and on a mission this year to get totally organised and de-cluttered. My bf is a bit of a hoarder but as long as we have space I'm happy to leave him to it as long as it doesn't affect me (triple wardrobe each is great!).

So far this year I've replaced my make-up completely (I don't wear it but seem to have been collecting it for years), replaced socks (goodbye 50 pairs!) and cleared a few smaller drawers and boxes but this weekend is the big one - clothes! I'm going to try a capsule wardrobe.

Not sure if I'll buy the book but hope it's ok to stick around in the thread to share tips and get some encouragement when needed.
