Welcome new people!
Scotsman, nearly spat out my coffee when I read your story of your husband's reaction!
I am starting to check my library account daily to see if there is any movement on my place in the queue. Perhaps a little obsessed - I think it's due to reading about all your successes and wanting to reach that higher plain of unclutteredness! (Well it is a kult so I thought I ought to embrace some jargon)
I might stop by the Oksfam bookshop at the weekend and see if there are any copies lurking there. Otherwise it'll be a trek into the city centre to Warterstones which will be too tempting.
I've made some progress but I know that I can do a lot more. I need to tackle the linen cupboard this weekend - I think the towels are breeding in there.

HaHa turtlemoose...Me too! I just want time and peace to get on with it! Just in the middle of 'paperwork' - and endless pile of !!!!. The sensitive stuf I was discarding was too much for my shredder so I have actually been having bonfires to get rid of it all.
Keep at it everyone, we will get there if we just keep going at it!0 -
I threw caution to the wind this morning and arranged my hanging rail clothes dark to light, rising to the right.
This almost the exact opposite of the normal order due to my half of the built in wardrobe being the hardest to get at and partly blocked by my joyful bedside lamp on my much loved bedside cabinet. My pale coloured blouses are now at the 'awkward' end.... next few days will be interesting until I get used to it!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I've put dozens more books in the 'to go' pile. When DH came home I could see he visibly flinched and went pale at the sight of them. Most of them are books we inherited from his dad, and none of us are interested, so I don't want them around. To his credit he has had a look at them and said they can all go.
I've also discovered a whole load more paperwork which needs to be gone through, so I'll try and do that this weekend.0 -
Has anyone sold clothes anywhere other than Ebay? Trying to avoid the fees! I have quite a few good brand things that have never been worn including an £80 jacket!0

I've been storing a big box of books in the loft for a friend. Spoke to him today & we've agreed that most of them should be Kondo'd to the CS. I've listed about 10 on Amazon & we've agreed if they don't sell in the next month they will Kondo'd too :-).Shifting my energy for 20200

Guess who won the WI raffle yesterday:). I will keep the body wash as that is useful and will get used but will donate the body puff thing with a wicker heart attached to it to the CS. Even if I wasn't decluttering and kondoing it is a pretty ugly thing and why would you want a body puff with a wicker heart attached to it?saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Good Evening Fellow Konverts,
Today i discarded candles (how many does a very small 2 bedroom house need in the event of a powercut)?
I kondoed a small plastic c o d to DH's shed it was full of craft carp that i thought i better keep as i may use them one day so they are all discarded.
Stationary items i am never going to use.
As a young child i was always getting out my grannies sewing box and playing with buttons etc, Granny more or less raised us as mum left when i was 10, so i had a strong bond with her, granny died when i was 19 (now 44) i inherited her sewing box.
This box has been stored usually in the attic, never used and mostly forgotten about. Today i discarded the contents except her mushroom darner???. I did have to hold every item (which is just tat) before i could let it go. This has been my most difficult item to kondo yet.
I dont want the box its old mismatched pieces of wood that my grandfather cobbled together for her so i am planning on getting DH to deal with it at the weekend, i need another day or so to say goodbye. I dont think granny would mind.
Hope i have an easier kondo day tomorrow.
Am i being silly in thinking i can almost feel my house breathing now??
Keep on Kondoeing Konverts
regards:j0
