Lots of posters have said they are annoyed at having to go to work instead of Kondoing. Lol
I'm sure it's taken shopping over as the nations favourite pastime.

I know we're supposed to discard, but some of the clothes that don't bring me joy are a brand that sell for ok prices second hand. I've sold some on fb (after postage costs, £18 for only 2 items!) and have some on ebay with bids on.

My biggest shame so far? A BRAND NEW COAT still with tags on, £59.99.

    Pretty disgusted with myself!

Oh Scotsman thank you for sharing. I've been off work poorly and your poor husband's reaction has made me really chuckle. I can just picture his face at being informed you're doing everything commando.

  • Just popping by to say Hi & well done to all on your continued Kondoing.

I had a moment on Sunday morning before heading of to the gym. "I'll just sort my wardrobe from left to right etc. Oh & I'll need to move that shoe rack over so it doesn't catch my long items, do I really need that pair, they were my mums and I've never worn them in 5 years?, don't really like that anorak not worn it for 10 years, but I'll keep that body warmer., etc etc etc.

A couple of hours later whilst finally heading to the gym dropped of 4 bags of clothes for the charity and a bag of approx. 30 coat hangers no longer needed. My clothes are all in order and it so easy to get dressed in the morning.

Komono clearing this weeknd starting with my bedside drawer which is full of make up, hair accessories, jewellery, nail clippers, facial creams etc etc.

Still waiting for the heap of junk (sorry car project) to be moved off the drive and all the car parts along with it from the house. Only 2 more weeks and off to the garage they all go.

I've not yet done a full sort on my clothes but I've emptied the large wardrobe of a suitcase full of things that I'll be able to discard. Now my long dresses and coats have nothing underneath them and they look much better.

I've decided that my dolls house has to go at some point. It needs a bit of work on it. I'm going to ask my youngest if she wants it - she is having a baby in July (I'm hoping it's a girl!)

The dolls house only gets played with a couple of times a year and I think I'd rather have the space that would be left if it goes. I have a case of toys that I've no room to store, I still want to keep those but out of the way as they also don't get used that often. They could fit under the long clothes in the other wardrobe - but I'm not going to do that having just opened up the space. So for the time being they will have to remain under the sofa bed until I get a solution.

I know she says not to buy any storage ... but £2 in the poundshop today and I bought enough little plastic baskets to give each member of the family one.

Five minutes in the bathroom and everyone has a neatly packed basket of their own toiletries ... all of which sits on the shelf of the newly emptied airing cupboard just outside.

My bathroom looks twice the size and almost decent now its not covered in multi-coloured kibble.

It also took only five minutes to clean right through .... liking this, liking this a lot!!!

:) Nice one, MG, bathrooms are fast to clean if they haven't got half of Boots or whatever other brand of chemist you frequent all over the place.

I have my toiletries in one of those small baskety tower thingies and, apart from one big bottle of shampoo and of bath product out, it's sparse and white in there. Blissful. I use the shampoo, wipe the bottle with the towel each time and there's nothing out there getting laminated in steam and fluff.

That sounds a good idea memeory girl. We have a shelf in the bathroom with everyone's (me, OH, DS1 and DS2) toiletries on. I kondoed it the other day and got rid of loads but a basket for each person would keep everything in it's place.

OH has just taken our clothes to the cash for clothes collection. I can't believe how many bags there where and OH and DS2 still have to clear their clothes:eek:
