I remember seeing this such a lovely lady
And her family helping and supporting her

:TI have successfully kondoed my wardrobes :T

I'm giving the t shirt method a try. I used to hang up string, vest, short and long sleeved t shirts in my wardrobes but I got fed up with clothes catching on other hangers (the spaghetti strap ones and vest ones were a nightmare). So I've kondoed them into a plastic box, not colour co ordinated but different types ie spaghetti long sleeved etc.
Now for makeup. I going to try and use a smaller plastic pencil case type bag for everyday stuff for work. Ie lip salve, foundation etc with tweezers and nail file. Then at the weekend pop this bag into a better slightly larger makeup bag which holds more expensive makeup. I don't wear a lot of makeup and I'm finding I'm not using the good stuff much. I Also thought of putting together trial size makeup in my evening bag ie foundation sample mascara sample purfume sample etc so.I don't have to sort this out either. Not that I go out much anymore but when I do I either get ready at bfs or girlfriends. Does anyone do this already? Or have an overnight/weekend bag already packed?

    Well done you
I have a small hospital bag
I packed one for my Mam years ago it was handy just to grab
    When she took ill

    In mine
    List of meds
    Nhs number
    A book
purse with small amount of cash
    Slippers
    Nightie
Full length cardi to use as dressing gown
    And return home in
    Wash bag with toiletries
    Plastic cup

My sons laugh but they knew where it was kept
When recently I fell off a ladder and knocked myself out

  • Thanks Jinny, what a good idea. I never thought of that.
I have most of those items already, scattered around the place.
I've also made a swim grab bag with everything in ( in the vain attempt that if its grab and go I won't make an excuse not to go as stuff is sorted already). Well I try :D

That's the only time I've used it in years
Once a year I refresh it
It's actually a small back back so not too girly for my sons to carry for me
That's why I could never empty my handbag each night
I have a very small across body I use and it's never far from me
It has keys to the family members house I care for
It's beside my bed so I can grab n go

  • Just done the folding fitted sheet, and Wow. Off to learn socks and t shirts. What a life I lead:rotfl:
Death comes to us all. When he came to Mort, he offered him a job. MORT by Terry Pratchett.
  • So, socks, tshirts, vest tops and pjs done. Just done knickers, bras etc to do - can I ask how people deal with knicker/bra sets?, separate them or store them together?

Thanks Jinny. I'll give them another go. I think I need to work on my folding technique - I'm not a natural.

I intend to have a proper start of my tops after work tomorrow. However I've already said thank you and goodbye to a few this evening while I was rummaging through my drawers for the right top for yoga this evening.

I'm already envisaging myself floating around my house able to put my hand on everything in its place. No more frantic rooting!

Hi AlwaysAllie - I fasten the bra then stand it upright with straps tucked in and place the undies in one side of the cup. I have 2pairs of undies per bra so I alternate cup sides ie 2 pairs of undies in left cup then the next bra sits behind the first bra with 2pairs of undies folded in right cup, next bra left cup etc. So there all stood upright with matching undies in the bra. So easy to find matching pair then. I very rarely have odd undies or bras but if it does happen I fold them and tuck them down the front side, but usually bin them as there normally worn at that stage.
This works ok for me as there just the right size for the drawer. I also have a plastic storage box with prettier underwear in and I do the same method but stack them on top of each other and have the colours stacked in the same stack.
Oh god ... Maybe I need to get out more :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
But on the upside there easy to co ordinate and grab when matching the tops you wear.
