Apparently, they don't come out creased!
I've done my tee-shirts, but can't check for creases yet - unheated house... so I'll let you know in er, July? :rotfl:Needs, NOT wants!

Im an avid reader of this site, but not much of a "joiner" as such ....... but im compelled to jump in here and thank you ladies!!
I haven't read the book yet, but have downloaded it on Kindle. I didn't need it to make a start though because you ladies booted my butt in the right direction!!
I don't know what a "sushi roll" is, but thanks to Youtube, ive used "army roll" for socks, pants and pyjamas so far, plus 2 black bags gone to those charity collection people today.
Best of all, I didn't feel overwhelmed by it like is usual .... you know, you empty an entire cupboard, then immediately think, "I wish I hadn't done that"!!! "It's only a drawer of socks" and "It's only a drawer of pants" worked so much better for me!!
And not only that .......... DD,19, who's room resembles a tsunami site, came home from work and looked in my newly cleaned cupboard ..... next I know, she's doing the same in her own room. RESULT!!!!0 -
My house is so easy to clean now it is tidy. :DNo stopping to tidy out a cupboard when everything falls out when you open the door for something. The hoover bags are easy to find. I didn't wash my hair in shower gel as I did a few weeks
( the shape of the showergel is the same as my conditioner) My OH asked yesterday "where are the scissors?" "In here " he said pointing to the bureaux. I didn't need to answer as he opened the bureaux and there was a dish with all the scissors. He then said "This has been got at too".:j
He has tidied all his clothes books and has made a start on his papers. A 2 drawer filing cabinet is empty.0 -
Right I'm making a start .... Wish me well :rotfl:
So far today I have emptied out the entire contents of my wardrobes, undie drawers and PJ and shirt drawer.
I haven't got much drawer space so I'm having to be ruthless.
First my dresses - some ebayed, most kept as I will wear then cull the ones I don't wear often when the weather gets better.
Jackets/Coats - Same again.
Jeans, Skirts, general clothing the same.
Summer clothes VAC sacked to an inch of their life to fit in a plastic storage box which will go at the bottom of one wardrobe to be continued that one....
Belts, scarves, hats, gloves and handbags culled. The saved stuff again going in a plastic storage box with lid. I Saved 4 bags, 1 for work use (black), 2 for weekend and general use (1 black, 1 brown), 1 evening bag (black). The rest to be ebayed.
Nice undies in a plastic storage box (can't bear to part with a lot of these but won't be buying any as I have enough to last me for the rest of my life)
Wooly jumpers - some to go on eBay the rest folded in another storage box ,the ones that crease are hanging the the wardrobe).
The plastic boxes I have anyway and find these better to store my clothes in as my bedroom gets cold and I don't like cardboard boxes as you can't see what's in them.
Sock drawer to be started.
Clothes to be ebayed stored in another plastic box away from my bedroom..
All in all a good morning.
Just need to start on make up and hair stuff.... Will do that another day....0 -
When I kondoed my underwear, I found good bras with missing/broken wires. Just received new wires from Vena Cava who supply bra-making materials! 99p per pair and good p&p.
Later, this afternoon I will adding £160 of reclaimed bras to their kondo drawer! :money:Needs, NOT wants!

I like the idea of only surrounding myself with things that spark joy.
I haven't finished the book yet but have already parted with a set of cutlery I've always hated. My mum gave it to me when I was starting again after leaving my partner. I had nothing and I was grateful. However, 20 years later I have nicer cutlery in the draw and I have thanked the stuff I hate and said goodbye.
I'm looking forward to saying more goodbyes.
I was trying to sushi roll my knickers last night and failed (never thought I'd be announcing that on a forum!!!). Any tips on technique or am I trying to run before I can walk??0 -
I had started post xmas tidying and unwittingly did something very similar and have ordered book from library and not watched any videos as yet but struggling with sports socks, any tips?
I don't roll tee shirts as have masses of hanging space, but have done undies, nighties etc, just love it!
I'm guilty of hanging on to dressy stuff I'm not that keen in and shoes I can't walk in,or should I say, I WAS! Bag of stuff to go out, just done make up and out of date face moisturiser out as hand cream now.Carolbee0 -

Hi welcome and to all newbies to the cult
Well done on starting it doesn't take that long
I just found it a bit overwhelming but feel much better the first wave of sorting has gone out the door today
Your bloomers... Everything is folded into rectangle shapes before folding or rolling
I smoothed mine out flat then folded both the sides in towards the centre
The hips if you like then you have your rectangle
To either roll up from the bottom or fold into thirds
Hope that explains it
So many of us discussing knickers on an open forum... Ha ha
anyone wandering onto this site will think we are bonkers:rotfl:
This bloomin phone I have to edit everything”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”
