The KonMarie method

Several large loads and trailer loads of carp to the tip, a few more loads to the CS this week and I've not even started kondoing properly yet! We are moving tomorrow so I'm getting rid with a vengeance. I was tempted to just get rid of everything and start again but then common sense prevailed.
I mentioned the sorting out to mother dear who was horrified with the thought of getting rid of stuff. She now wants to have first choice of my unwanted belongings before they go forever and also anything she has given me she wants back. I'm not too keen on this idea because I don't want anything hanging around once I get going and I also don't want to have to sort it all again when the time comes. I have mentioned to the folks that it might be an idea to sort their stuff whilst they still can. Here's hoping......
Anyway Carrier bags done and clothes and linen folded and the rest of the stuff all packed neatly and ready for the move. Can't wait to start sorting!:T Looking forward to the future :T0 -
I'm loving the idea of decluttering is like SennaKOT
for houses. Well it's not nice being bunged up is it
Rock Queen yes agree with putting affairs in order
We discussed this earlier in the thread
Many of us on here including myself have
Had to clear out loved ones that have passed aways belongings
I know it's hard for them to give up stuff that generation didn't throw anything away
My mother used to get my stuff back out of the bin area pre recycling.
We don't want our families to have to sort through stuff for us when the time comes
it's a horrible task”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

I need to get on with stuff this evening.
I don't want to though, all I want to do is Kondo!!!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Two ways to do tea towels:
Folding - fold in 3 longways. then fold in half (top to bottom and again. File on edge. Use any sensible height in the drawer.
Rolling - fold in 3 longways. Roll tightly, top to bottom and store on the end of the cylinder.
Some people have samosa-ed them, like carrier bags!Needs, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

I might not be doing it the right way but I fold in half then fold again then roll and place in rows in the drawer.
It depends if you want them short and fat or long and thin."This site is addictive!"
