Hi Debtfreeoneday,
thank you - I'm finding February is so much harder for me that January! But I will keep on going - thank you for your encouragement
Hi HollieHobbie,
I love Spring ... in fact i have daffodils already coming up in the garden!
I seem to be hitting problems in Feb (with the car and no savings) i've just put spare wheel on for now and also health wise with "women's problems - got to have scan". Though I'm convinced it's the "change"
- my budget is blown out of the window but I know i can get through it as ive been through worse :cool:0 -
Feeling a bit subdued today. The impending scan is playing on my mind. Ive had a life/death scare before which was sudden and I survived (obviously) lol, but to potentially have something wrong with me is making my emotions run all over the place.
Health is very important and tbh i have been taking it for granted. I need to start changing this.
I hate waiting and the sooner i have a date for the scan the better.
Having no money this month (for whatever reason) is now no longer an issue, the car with a spare tyre on it and squeaky brake pads need sorting but will deal with them the end of month, my toothache pales into insignificance, the house is a tip - i dont care!
Anyways, i'll get up tomorrow, put my face on and get on with life with a happy, smiley face .... called denial i think :rotfl:0 -
I had a wake up call last year, a close family member got ill and prompted by weight loss, then I had a scare - fortunately all OK, but I'm struggling to find my weight loss mojo and actually reading your post here has bought back a lot of the reasons I started to lose weight in the first place.. thank you.
Hope all is ok with you - do you have a date for the scan?DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Hi DFOD, No date yet - saw GP Thursday and she said i would get letter but referred me for urgent scan. I cant believe I'm saying I hope its the "change" !! - though I feel far too young for that
I feel a little "humbled" by your thanks and it means a lot to me.
I'm really great at being in denial - hence the debt, hence being overweight when I shouldn't be (to both) - and at times i feel very guilty and selfish - at the end of the day I have a family who needs me.
I dont know about you but I comfort eat a lot (at night) and i know all the do's and dont's about what to eat etc but when you are stressed out or had a bad day - I DO reach for the crisps or biscuits !!
To have a 2nd scare and it be unrelated to the 1st scare - is an eye opener - i know i'm going to eat crisps and a biscuit but ive just got to cut back, and each day incorporate some form of exercise and healthy eating... ive starting walking 15 mins in my lunch break. Its not vanity any more, its about staying healthy long term and is now one of my objectives... along with getting out of debt !
Im glad you are ok and over your health scare and I sincerely hope you find your mojo back to become more healthier and hopefully have more fun things to do in life.... and more money :rotfl: x0 -
Thank you for your response as well.. xDFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

I was hoping to knit and sell to a market stall but the stall has closed so now i'm just knitting for fun/family
Scan is Monday
Another NSD- then again you cant spend what you dont have :rotfl:
ive been offered permanent weekly overtime which is great news as it will go to paying off my loan quicker
Im thinking my target to pay family back this year may be unrealistic (unless i have a windfall) ! But i'll "never say never" - i might have a win you never know !
I need the money angel please
I know slow and steady wins the race, but im inpatient and want to be debt free now :mad:0 -
I get impatient.. I want mine gone like yesterday, but even if you don't pay it all back, you will certainly pay a massive chunk back and every payment is another payment you won't have to make again! Focus on the payments you are making rather than the ones you might not make this year.
Hope Monday goes Ok xDFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Just catching up on your thread - sorry you are having a rubbish time. I also can relate to needing to loose weight and exercise for health reasons. I have largely ignored that part of my life for around 18 months and really need to get some motivation! Hope your scan goes ok - the waiting is half the battle
You're doing great - keep going - one step at a time!0
