Thanks Parsnip
I've not watched hoarders i'm more into Desperate Housewives :rotfl:
Managed to shave £10 off shopping and I've not used my Tesc* vouchers yet :j
I bought a nice gift from TKM*xx which didnt cost a lot. I finished my undercoating of the spare room so quite a productive weekend.
Tomorrow I'm back at the vets with hopefully a urine sample so Ive booked the day of work to stalk my cat!0 -
It's Wednesday and I feel like Ive been dragged through a hedge backwards!
Didnt get to sleep last night until gone midnight and woke at 4am to banging on the front door by a neighbour - he reported a couple of "lads" were trying to steal my DD2's car  He called the police. Think it shook DD2 up - it's her first car and she has saved for it - it frustrates me so much - thieves!
As it happens everything was fine - no damage but they did get into neighbours car but didnt steal it. There seems to be a target for corsas atm.
Needless to say I couldnt get back to sleep until around 6.30am and then was woken at 6.50am by alarm - i pressed snooze and didnt wake until 8am!! I couldn't get a parking space in work so it cost me £6 for parking  I didnt have breakfast or make lunch so that cost me £3.50 - i hate expenses like these
Everyone is grumpy in the house and tired so I'm going in the bath to ease my aching back (over stretched when I was painting spare room) and then an early night.
I have faced my fears with eb*y and have listed 3 items
I wont make a fortune if they sell but I'm targeting the overdraft as my next debt to get rid off.
I started off this year saying my diary isn't going to be a negative one (despite challenges) so to end tonight on a positive... I have an alcoholic drink in my hand as I deserve one :beer:0 -
That's so annoying with the car Takingcontrol, especially as you said you're DD saved for it. Thieving toerags ( a black country phrase, sorry).
I hope you enjoy you're drink. Time to relax.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Glad your daughter's car was ok

Thanks Parsnip - I've used that phrase before - actually a lot worse !!
Thanks BOP - now that the Apprenticeship is finished I'm hoping to have a bit more free time.... to do the house up :rotfl: !!
I'm out of sorts this week - didn't prep lunch again so another spend in the canteen ... I even went the vending machine....
I need to use my namesake "taking control" and put it into actionMy clothes are becoming too tight - I obviously eat too much when I'm stressed... and I hate it when I'm told I'm stressed .... anyway the long and short of it is ... I need to get a grip!
I'm becoming a little obsessive with Fleaby - I keep logging on to check the numbers of watchers :rotfl: I'm not even going to make a lot of money. I cant wait till the deadline :rotfl: I'm sure I'll be cheesed off packaging and going the Post Office as its another job to do :rotfl:0 -
Honestly the week couldn't have got any worse.
I received a call yesterday from DH to say that DD1 was involved in a car accident. She is okay - a young girl drove in to the back of her when she was at lights on a busy roundabout. There is damage to her lease car and its going through the insurance.
What was I saying this week about worry ... I worry about the safety of my daughters all the time .... I have been waiting for this call every day and it came.
I love the fact that my girls are independent but I hate them being on the roads... I'm such a worrier
Today I received 2 letters - one to say my cc will be increasing my limit and the 2nd to say that a creditor will turn nasty if i dont respond to an inc/exp statement by such a date and do I want to settle the account early - both comments made on the same page! MBN* are the only creditors who have been nasty with me over the years!
Th 2nd letter is enough to send my stress levels up another notch. I am selling the house what more do they want? They increased my debt by thousands years ago with charges and interest and wouldnt default me. It was such a bad time
All I have done today is shopping and the tea ! I managed another £10 off shopping bill (in celebration pot) and used vouchers I had. I chilled last night and I'm chilling tonight - with a glass of red! I'm watching a drama on BB* called Apple Tree Y*rd - oh my
Tomorrow I plan cleaning the house top to bottom - and I want too!!
Also washing and ironing and a sunday dinner to cook
I've chosen a lovely paint (very pale grey) for the spare room - DH went halves. He was hoping to paint yesterday but with the accident he spent all day sorting that out with DD. Maybe next weekend he can get started - fingers crossed.
The vet hasn't rang me about the 2nd urine sample i gave in on Monday. I did ring them Tuesday and they said it wasn't reported on. I think no news is good news but I suppose I should chase it.
My red wine needs topping up - enjoy Saturday night0 -
Sorry to hear that your daughter has had a car accident. Thank goodness she is OK.
MBN# are as vile as the rest of them. I long for the day to wave bye bye. Oh to go back in time with the knowledge we have now. What different choices would have been made, eh.
Let's hope everything is positive from now on. I hope the wine was nice.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Thanks Parsnip - she is x
My sentiments exactly - honestly they frighten the life out of me - its the nastiness - its not like I dont acknowledge I owe them and I'm paying them back monthly. I even agreed to a charge on the house! Just what are they going to do to me... they obviously want more money and believe me if I could settle I would - hopefully the house will sell this year and bye bye MBN* forever!!!
I will stay positive as I've lots to be grateful for and yes - it was a lovely bottle (i've still got some left for tomorrow)0 -

Thank goodness for wine:D
Thanks bop! A new week begins tomorrow - lets hope its a better one
I'm so relieved she is ok - as I said earlier - I hate them being on the road but needs must.
The wine certainly has a calming effect - I only need one :rotfl:0
