Would send you a piece - but its all gone, I have to say it was gorgeous, its one of the nicest xmas cake recipies I have made - from a free kindle download..

The trapped nerve sorted.... but they didnt check the rest of spine etc as they thought it was more stress on the previosu injury - then when I had Miss Hoodi in 2002 everything went South and never recovered... I've been on crutches 13 yrs now, as long as we can travel happy, not able to do half of what I use to, but try some things, and make sure Miss Hoodie gets to experience things... thou when we did dolphin encounter, were both in water waiting for dolphin to jump over us.... it jumps but decides to pee in my eye!!!

Another Miss Hoodie antidote... mum (yes), will you still come on holiday with me when I'm 18 (if you want to me, dont you want to go with friends), yes still want you to come even with friends (feeling really proud) you see when they push you threw in a wheelchair, we get to queue jump everywhere and get on plane quicker... !!xx

  • So it turns out I need not have worried about Christmas presents for my bfs family in the end....as since Tuesday night he's become my ex bf.

Today I am moving out of the flat we rented together, moving back to my Mums, which is a massive step going forward.

I am going to keep the gifts I have bought with affection and care and send them through around Christmas time, and contact his family then as well. His sister is more than happy to stay in touch, we got on really well, but he doesnt like me contacting her and texted me to say so - but he is my ex now and she is just a friend of mine....so he has no say really in who I talk to now.

I am still very sad and angry, just wanted to come here to vent. xxxx

    Santas Challenge October

Were on the home front, 2 months to Christmas, heres where we reap the rewards of being organised throughout the year, whether thats a hidden stash of presents, wrapping paper or even a pack of cards - every little helps out...

    Where am I...
Whether this is a where am I, the kids, hubby - its one for all, even its grab a notebook, a4 paper inside the cupboard door or the diary - now is the time to breakdown everything, this is going to be your life line to Christmas planning....

    (some thoughts)
Main one - Where am I Xmas Day...
    Boxing Day
    New Year Eve
    New Year Day

    - Where is everyone else

Do I need dentist, opticians apps (doctors are as and when)

Prescriptions - not just the getting it to the doctors, time for prep, to and forth the chemist ... Look now at setting a 2weekly plan in as to what you have in stock or need

Shopping - Food - online / delievery / click and collect - good old fashioned shankies ponies..

Some supermarkets are offering there Xmas slots already...

    Break down into catergories..
    Drink - Alcohol / soft
    Fridge - Veg, meat, salad
    Essentials - Toilet roll
    Dry - cupboard items
Cleaning - washing tablets, kitchen roll, washing up liquid

    Freezer - Turkey, veg

    Extras - Chocolates, sweets,

Main event - dinner - meat, sauces, etc...

    Christmas Presents

Hopefully there be some ticked off, ideas for others, now is the time to review what we have, what we need (hopefully not panic)

When your looking at presents, - try to put them into family groups, also do they need posting, delievering (a thought for the diary)

Just a thought but have a spare present ready, whether its, mens, ladies, spare kids can lay there hands on - make sure you like the gift.... if they dont get used - you have an extra present for the family

BATTERIES _ if you buying kids toys, games etc - check whether th item needs batteries - nothing worse than xmas day and playing hunt the battery

    Christmas Cards
Check your cards do you need to buy any special ones, more cards

Look at dividing your list, so yo dont have to write in one sitting. Grab some sandwich bags - great putting cards together)

I do mine as family, post cards, post with parcel, street, school

    Christmas Prep Boxes

Whether its a carrier bag, icecream box, corner of a draw...

Wrapping / card box - scissors, tape, pens, labels, curling ribbon, address book, stamps

First Aid Box, - plasters, headache tablets, stomach tablets, gauze, micopore tape, scissors, throat tablets

open/close/ phone list - dentist, doctors, chemist, hospital, pizza, supermarket, petrol stations, banks

powercut - torch, candles, matches, - keep a torch near the fuse box

FoodTheres many ways to look at the Xmas dinner from a posher Sunday dinner to a family event, depending on where you are / how many - can determine what you need.

The suepermarkets are now offering rhe incentives to get you into store, always worth having a peep.

    Smoke Alarms
Its time to include smoke alarms on the checklist, from hoovering every week to once a month testing the battery - to a recommended change the batteries once a year - even if you havent used the alarm.

    House checklist
With the weather getting colder, the clocks changing, (darker nights) - just worth checking you know where everything is.

Water tap - the indoors and the outdoor one
    Fuse box -

    Miss Hoodie corner
Being as the freezer is going to be our best friend over the festive season, its time to give it a freshen up.... bag it, label it, tidy it.... then get a cup of coffee to warm up....

    The Me Corner
take a couple of hours, evening, day, and spend the time relaxing - whether its curled up with a dvd, a glass of wine or a brisking walk around the lake, take some me time.

    xxxx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Give you a laugh, took Miss Hoodie to birmingham on Sunday ngt to see Dan and Phil...

As you all know nothing goes simple for us...

Got stuck in traffic on m-way - that added an hr on
Got lost in Birmingham (had Sat Nav - a road was closed)
Pulled in taxi rank - almost pounced on policeman - he didnt know where we were going....

    A miracle happened...
When we stopped for directions - we were pointed in direction of a security guard, giving another driver directions, - bless her heart - we followed her

    Got there safe and sound...

went to get our seats - there was 2 girls in them... (they thought they could sit by their friends), they moved...

The show was amazing, miss Hoodie loved it, she brought the merchandise ... 2 x tshirts, bag, poster and wrist band.. £65... and a paper plate thrown out to the audience

On the way out we caught up with the lady and her daughter that we met earlier, they were so nice swopped f/b contacts...

On way home.... we got lost (only 5 mins)

    Found a MacD's

We should have guesses odd - had to be buzzed in...

    -Got the food orders wrong
    -2 mini power cuts
    -staff member walked out
    -30 mins later no food....

    Got money back...
Home - only 1 misheard the sat nav... then we stopped at out local Mcd's at 11.30 last ngt for tea...

Thou bless her heart, took Miss Hoodie run around trip, popped into Boots - when we got home - she had brought me a soap and glory gift set to say thank you fo taking her last ngt.... cue tears.... xx

Lol mum2one, I think you must be a good advert for that expression 'when life gives you lemons' because it always works out in the end. That day out reminded me of one of the Frank Spencer comedy shows.

I had a strange moment like that myself yesterday, I was with a friend and we had just sat down in the library by the window when we spotted a man waving to us outside, it was a very unwanted admirer. He signalled he was just going to the bank so we ran downstairs to the children's library and ducked behind a shelving area.

However we needed to do some photocopying etc and knew the library would be shutting before long so had to sneak out, ducking down below the windows and before we went back up she went first as lookout, lying across the spiral stairs looking through the basement window to check if he'd come out the bank lol I took a photo, it was so funny to see her in that position.

Fortunately the children's library was empty but there were people in the office who would have seen us hiding behind the shelves.

Thanks for the latest challenge. I've got the plumber coming today for a lot of work in a number of areas of the house so I'll be writing some cards out of his way.

How are the rest of you doing?
