I agree with Katie, do it if you really want to but Christmas will soon be here and you've helped to keep us on track all year so we are all pretty much ready.
Time some time out to be with your loved ones and get your own festivities completed. We can always start the challenges off again in the new thread for the new year.

Today I WILL finish cross stitching the stocking for DGS, the. It just needs putting together!

    Hope all are well

    Hi everyone

Mum2one, I'm sorry that you are once again in the middle of so much worry with your family, you must be on constant alert in case something else happens.

I am like that with dad, just when you think one thing has passed then another starts.

I hope that doing the fayres has taken your mind off the usual concerns during the times of setting up stalls and selling.

How are you doing during all of this?

I'll be back another time to do the rest of the replies and an update I've got something on the stove now which needs to be dealt with.

Nearly 3 weeks to the event... where has all the time gone, hopefully with our good planning everything will fall into place.

    Its a 2 months in 1 challenge....

    Where Am I

Now comes into play where am I, break it down by the week, then to the day, even if its a piece of paper on the cupboard door.

    Christmas Card Posting

Check the sizes of any cards that you need to post, so no-one gets a nasty £1 + charge.... allow extra time for posting.

    Parcels

If your posting a parcel, as well wrapped, make sure there is a return address on the parcel, that you get proof of posting, and if you can let the person know theres a parcel sue.

    On-line shopping
If you do use on-line, try to reserve yours slots asap, even if you have 4 bottles of gin - just to keep the slot open - remember t change it / cancel in time...

    Prescriptions
If you do need regular meds - check your stock levels - try to set a date of 14th Dec - to have everything ordered by.

    Over the counter
Simple things - parecetamol, sickie tabs, plasters - cough sweets...

    Presents
It may sound daft but use the calender system for present dropping off, so if you do need to make arrnagements - the sooner the better

    Spare Presents

The usual emergency present (s), I always suggest something you like - as that way you get a New Year treat....;)

    Candles,Matches, Batteries Torch
I would love to say for a romantic night in... but were prepared and organised incase of power cut - tripped fuse - tv remote no battery.... that would be a drama in this house....
Check to see if there is a torch by the fuse box...

    Bills
In-case bills are due - take into account the banks closed over the festive period / businesses closed ... that you may need to do a debit card over the phone.

    Miss Hoodies corner...
With the busy season upon us Miss Hoodie has decided you all deserve a rest from a cleaning challenge - suggests a glass of wine and some chill out time...

    Main event...
if you have frozen meat - allow plenty of defrosting time.....

Pop a mini challenge for what would be Christmas Eve - later in the week xxx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Had Miss Hoodie at the GP, she's had a bad week with migraines - they think she is dehydrated... hopefully get more fluids into her...

How is Miss Hoodie and the mystery allergies mum2one? Could they be also related to the headaches as well as fluids?

She's a lot brighter today, thou it's dentist after school - could be a different matter.

We have no idea with the allergies - it's a weird one - touch wood she's had 2 bad attacks - candy floss and strawberries.

It's the variables with it a with the strawberries - fruit, what washed in, storage tub, cling film. The allergy tests came back normal, she's got epi-pens till she's 16, if all clear by then it be one of those things.

    Xx
