It wouldn't be a holiday if there wasn't an incident.... I wont be disappointing anyone...
Sat ngt, getting ready to go out - had to collect the tickets from theatre - 6.30 ring a cab - 15 to 20 mins (no probs waited outside), 7pm - no taxi -- rang them they sent one at 6.36... we didnt get in it... (we did see a taxi from that firm go past - stopped the other end of the road), no prob we will have a new cab.
Great - arrived within 2 mins, we were nattering with the diver about the show, he drops us off....
AT THE WRONG THEATRE
Luckly it was 2 mins walk, got there then we couldn't find the box office - we'd gone in the wrong way, bless her heart one of the staff went with Miss Hoodie to get the tickets..
The show was different, (A DJ saved my life), Shane Richie jnr, he was brilliant, David Hasseloff - he was a bit wooden with it, he'd obviously hurt his leg (limping and being helped off stage), thou the music was brill, 80s and 90s - my era.
We did get back to the hotel safe, found a cab...
Last ngt was a trip to our favourite Indian restaurant.
SO funny this morning - the b+b opposiate us was being filmed for 4 in a bed... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

I'm just on my way out but had a quick read, Katiehound I had to laugh at your post.
You heard of the Law of Attraction? I wonder if it was my post about drama or yours that caused the taxi/theatre fiasco for poor mum2one lol
That was interesting about the filming nearby.
Good to read your update Mrs M, I had wondered how you were doing. How are the latest crafts?0 -

so, we are both to blame!!
Seriously though it is usually the incidents, "experiences", co-incidences whatever that make such good talking points... because they are so memorable. As long as it wasn't a complete disaster, no one was hurt and it all ended well we enjoy a good (true) story.
Glad to hear that it went well, eventually Mum2one.
Life would be SOOO boring if things went to plan! (But easy!)
back to the duvet factory... 15 made in the last 2 weeks. Want to get a in a stockpile so I can attempt a couple of mentions in local papers, then I won't feel pressurised.
Car is in the garage after the flat tyre drama of Friday and I have a courtsey car. It is so low (compared with my own) that I can hardly get in... then I can't get out!! It is not getting any social trips!- to leisure centre for the morning swim (32 lengths- 1/2 mile), home, back to garage. I need my pet Doblo back asap!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Angela I'm currently working on a cross stitched stocking for dgs first Christmas, and some baby cardis for a neighbour(she wants 4) yesterday I took all the Autumn leaves I'd knitted over the weekend up to school and fixed them to an indoor tree we have in a corridor to make it look all autumnal. Will be making snowflakes and robins soon to go on it.
How is your crafting coming along? There just downst seem enough hours in the day for me.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi again
Katiehound re dramas I had a tv buying fiasco today so didn't get one and on the way back got lots of heavy bags of shopping, raining, one broke and I ran into the same man that I was hiding from last week (which was a surreal coincidence as same day, same place ) and he gave me a lift home.
Hope you get your car back soon, how bizarre the current one is so low you can't get out, it must be a real nuisance.
You certainly are and inspiration with all those quilts.
I managed to buy a couple of things for the Christmas week when the boys will be down (not the actual 25th dinner). Mum2one you are good with reminding us about extra supplies.
Mrs M, what I'm doing for crafts is I'm finishing all my 'years old' UFO's. I started today on crochet embellishments for a stillborn charity I used to send crochet or knitted baby blankets, gowns. So I made a lace style flower in 3 ply then had a go at corded Irish crochet which didn't go to plan. I was accidentally using the cord instead of the wool in some places.
Your leaves, robins and snowflakes = that will look brilliant, what a great idea. So you still fancied cross stitching a stocking after the other one you made previous years?0 -
Oh dear Anglea- sorry to hear about the shopping bag saga... but you got a lift home even if it wasn't your choice of driver! If you are into crotchet at the moment you might like to look at the link I posted on the freebies board- loads of free crotchet patterns which I found this week.
Glad to say my car is back on track. By the time I got to the garage with their courtesy car I had back ache! My car has a van type body and is so easy for entry and exit (and driving, especially reversing with the mirrors) that I don't notice the arthritic knee too much- not the same with normal more low slung cars- I kind of crawl in /out!!!
It's a horrid grey, foggy, wet day here. Makes me want to hibernate or emigrate so I try to think positive. Yes, I positively hate these dull days... roll on Dec 21st!!
Yesterday (another grey old day) I cheered myself with charity shop bargain buys from two different shops. 4 x T shirts / smart tops (think cruise wardrobe) for under £15. I'm convinced that 2 of them are brand new- even better bargain.
Time to get off to the duvets......the heap doesn't look any smaller but it must be! I am going to deliver some tomorrow, hoping that the charity labels with their new name & logo arrive with the post later today- I am label -less!(They don't really need a label as they are all one price but I do like to promote the charity)Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
